وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَٰذَا الْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ ٤٨

And they say: "When will this promise (i.e. Resurrection) be fulfilled, if you are truthful?"

وَيَقُولُونَ

And they say:

مَتَىٰ هَٰذَا الْوَعْدُ

When will this promise

إِن كُنتُمْ

(i.e. Resurrection)

صَادِقِينَ

if you are truthful?

مَا يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً تَأْخُذُهُمْ وَهُمْ يَخِصِّمُونَ ٤٩

They await only but a single Saihah (shout, etc.), which will seize them while they are disputing!

مَا يَنظُرُونَ

They await only

إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً

but a single Saihah (shout, etc.)

تَأْخُذُهُمْ

which will seize them

وَهُمْ يَخِصِّمُونَ

while they are disputing!

فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ تَوْصِيَةً وَلَا إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِمْ يَرْجِعُونَ ٥٠

Then they will not be able to make bequest, nor they will return to their family.

فَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ تَوْصِيَةً

Then they will not be able to make bequest

وَلَا إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِمْ يَرْجِعُونَ

nor they will return to their family

وَنُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ فَإِذَا هُم مِّنَ الْأَجْدَاثِ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ يَنسِلُونَ ٥١

And the Trumpet will be blown (i.e. the second blowing) and behold! From the graves they will come out quickly to their Lord.

وَنُفِخَ فِي الصُّورِ

And the Trumpet will be blown

فَإِذَا هُم

and behold! They

مِّنَ الْأَجْدَاثِ

from the graves

إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ

to their Lord

يَنسِلُونَ

will come out quickly

قَالُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا مَن بَعَثَنَا مِن مَّرْقَدِنَا ۜ ۗ هَٰذَا مَا وَعَدَ الرَّحْمَٰنُ وَصَدَقَ الْمُرْسَلُونَ ٥٢

They will say: "Woe to us! Who has raised us up from our place of sleep." (It will be said to them): "This is what the Most Beneficent (Allah) had promised, and the Messengers spoke truth!"

قَالُوا يَا وَيْلَنَا مَن

They will say: 'Woe to us!'

بَعَثَنَا مِن مَّرْقَدِنَا ۜ ۗ هَٰذَا

Who has raised us up from our place of sleep?

مَا وَعَدَ الرَّحْمَٰنُ وَصَدَقَ

(It will be said to them): 'This is what the Most Beneficent (Allah) had promised,'

الْمُرْسَلُونَ

and the Messengers spoke truth!

إِن كَانَتْ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً فَإِذَا هُمْ جَمِيعٌ لَّدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ ٥٣

It will be but a single Saihah (shout, etc.), so behold! They will all be brought up before Us!

إِن كَانَتْ إِلَّا صَيْحَةً وَاحِدَةً

It will be but a single Saihah (shout, etc.)

فَإِذَا هُمْ جَمِيعٌ لَّدَيْنَا مُحْضَرُونَ

so behold! They will all be brought up before Us!

فَالْيَوْمَ لَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌ شَيْئًا وَلَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ٥٤

This Day (Day of Resurrection), none will be wronged in anything, nor will you be requited anything except that which you used to do.

فَالْيَوْمَ

This Day (Day of Resurrection),

لَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌ شَيْئًا

none will be wronged in anything,

وَلَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

nor will you be requited anything except that which you used to do.
