هَٰذَا ذِكْرٌ ۚ وَإِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ لَحُسْنَ مَآبٍ ٤٩
This is a Reminder, and verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) is a good final return (Paradise),
- هَٰذَا ذِكْرٌ ۚ
- This is a Reminder
- وَإِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
- and verily, for the Muttaqun
- لَحُسْنَ مَآبٍ
- is a good final return (Paradise)
جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ مُّفَتَّحَةً لَّهُمُ الْأَبْوَابُ ٥٠
'Adn (Edn) Paradise (everlasting Gardens), whose doors will be open for them, [It is said (in Tafsir At-Tabari, Part 23, Page 174) that one can speak to the doors, just one tells it to open and close, and it will open or close as it is ordered].
- جَنَّاتِ عَدْنٍ
- Adn (Edn) Paradise (everlasting Gardens)
- مُّفَتَّحَةً لَّهُمُ
- whose doors will be open for them
مُتَّكِئِينَ فِيهَا يَدْعُونَ فِيهَا بِفَاكِهَةٍ كَثِيرَةٍ وَشَرَابٍ ٥١
Therein they will recline; therein they will call for fruits in abundance and drinks;
- مُتَّكِئِينَ فِيهَا
- They will recline therein
- يَدْعُونَ فِيهَا
- they will call for
- بِفَاكِهَةٍ كَثِيرَةٍ
- fruits in abundance
- وَشَرَابٍ
- and drinks
۞ وَعِندَهُمْ قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ أَتْرَابٌ ٥٢
And beside them will be chaste females (virgins) restraining their glances only for their husbands, (and) of equal ages.
- ۞ وَعِندَهُمْ
- And beside them
- قَاصِرَاتُ الطَّرْفِ
- will be chaste females (virgins)
- أَتْرَابٌ
- of equal ages
- chaste females (virgins) of equal ages
- restraining their glances only for their husbands
هَٰذَا مَا تُوعَدُونَ لِيَوْمِ الْحِسَابِ ٥٣
This it is what you (Al-Muttaqun - the pious) are promised for the Day of Reckoning!
- هَٰذَا
- This

- لِيَوْمِ الْحِسَابِ
- for the Day of Reckoning
إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَرِزْقُنَا مَا لَهُ مِن نَّفَادٍ ٥٤
(It will be said to them)! Verily, this is Our Provision which will never finish;
- إِنَّ هَٰذَا
- Verily, this is
- لَرِزْقُنَا
- Our Provision
- مَا لَهُ مِن نَّفَادٍ
- which will never finish
هَٰذَا ۚ وَإِنَّ لِلطَّاغِينَ لَشَرَّ مَآبٍ ٥٥
This is so! And for the Taghun (transgressors, disobedient to Allah and His Messenger - disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, criminals, etc.), will be an evil final return (Fire),
- هَٰذَا ۚ
- This is so!
- وَإِنَّ لِلطَّاغِينَ
- And for the Taghun (transgressors, disobedient to Allah and His Messenger - disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, criminals, etc.),
- لَشَرَّ مَآبٍ
- will be an evil final return (Fire),
جَهَنَّمَ يَصْلَوْنَهَا فَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ ٥٦
Hell! Where they will burn, and worst (indeed) is that place to rest!
- جَهَنَّمَ
- Hell!
- يَصْلَوْنَهَا
- Where they will burn,
- فَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ
- and worst (indeed) is that place to rest!
هَٰذَا فَلْيَذُوقُوهُ حَمِيمٌ وَغَسَّاقٌ ٥٧
This is so! Then let them taste it, a boiling fluid and dirty wound discharges.
- هَٰذَا
- This is so!
- فَلْيَذُوقُوهُ
- Then let them taste it,
- حَمِيمٌ
- a boiling fluid
- وَغَسَّاقٌ
- and dirty wound discharges.
وَآخَرُ مِن شَكْلِهِ أَزْوَاجٌ ٥٨
And other torments of similar kind, all together!
- وَآخَرُ مِن شَكْلِهِ
- And other torments of similar kind
- أَزْوَاجٌ
- all together
هَٰذَا فَوْجٌ مُّقْتَحِمٌ مَّعَكُمْ ۖ لَا مَرْحَبًا بِهِمْ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ صَالُو النَّارِ ٥٩
This is a troop entering with you (in Hell), no welcome for them! Verily, they shall burn in the Fire!
- هَٰذَا فَوْجٌ مُّقْتَحِمٌ
- This is a troop entering
- مَّعَكُمْ ۖ
- with you (in Hell)
- لَا مَرْحَبًا بِهِمْ ۚ
- no welcome for them!
- إِنَّهُمْ صَالُو النَّارِ
- Verily, they shall burn in the Fire!
قَالُوا بَلْ أَنتُمْ لَا مَرْحَبًا بِكُمْ ۖ أَنتُمْ قَدَّمْتُمُوهُ لَنَا ۖ فَبِئْسَ الْقَرَارُ ٦٠
(The followers of the misleaders will say): "Nay, you (too)! No welcome for you! It is you (misleaders) who brought this upon us (because you misled us in the world), so evil is this place to stay in!"
- قَالُوا
- The followers of the misleaders will say:
- بَلْ أَنتُمْ
- Nay, you (too)!
- لَا مَرْحَبًا بِكُمْ ۖ
- No welcome for you!
- أَنتُمْ قَدَّمْتُمُوهُ لَنَا ۖ
- It is you (misleaders) who brought this upon us
- فَبِئْسَ الْقَرَارُ
- so evil is this place to stay in!
قَالُوا رَبَّنَا مَن قَدَّمَ لَنَا هَٰذَا فَزِدْهُ عَذَابًا ضِعْفًا فِي النَّارِ ٦١
They will say: "Our Lord! Whoever brought this upon us, add to him a double torment in the Fire!"
- قَالُوا رَبَّنَا
- They will say: 'Our Lord!'
- مَن قَدَّمَ لَنَا هَٰذَا
- Whoever brought this upon us,
- فَزِدْهُ عَذَابًا ضِعْفًا
- add to him a double torment
- فِي النَّارِ
- in the Fire!
وَقَالُوا مَا لَنَا لَا نَرَىٰ رِجَالًا كُنَّا نَعُدُّهُم مِّنَ الْأَشْرَارِ ٦٢
And they will say: "What is the matter with us that we see not men whom we used to count among the bad ones?"
- وَقَالُوا
- And they will say:
- مَا لَنَا لَا نَرَىٰ
- What is the matter with us that we see not
- رِجَالًا كُنَّا نَعُدُّهُم
- men whom we used to count among
- مِّنَ الْأَشْرَارِ
- the bad ones?
أَتَّخَذْنَاهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا أَمْ زَاغَتْ عَنْهُمُ الْأَبْصَارُ ٦٣
Did we take them as an object of mockery, or have (our) eyes failed to perceive them?"
- أَتَّخَذْنَاهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا
- Did we take them as an object of mockery,
- أَمْ زَاغَتْ عَنْهُمُ الْأَبْصَارُ
- or have (our) eyes failed to perceive them?
إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ لَحَقٌّ تَخَاصُمُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ ٦٤
Verily, that is the very truth, the mutual dispute of the people of the Fire!
- إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ

- تَخَاصُمُ أَهْلِ النَّارِ
