وَيَقُولُونَ مَتَىٰ هَٰذَا الْوَعْدُ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ ٢٩

And they say: "When is this promise (i.e. the Day of Resurrection will be fulfilled) if you are truthful?"

وَيَقُولُونَ

And they say:

مَتَىٰ هَٰذَا الْوَعْدُ

When is this promise

إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ

(i.e. the Day of Resurrection will be fulfilled) if you are truthful?

قُل لَّكُم مِّيعَادُ يَوْمٍ لَّا تَسْتَأْخِرُونَ عَنْهُ سَاعَةً وَلَا تَسْتَقْدِمُونَ ٣٠

Say (O Muhammad SAW): "The appointment to you is for a Day, which you cannot put back for an hour (or a moment) nor put forward."

قُل لَّكُم مِّيعَادُ

Say (O Muhammad SAW): 'The appointment to you is

يَوْمٍ لَّا تَسْتَأْخِرُونَ عَنْهُ

for a Day, which you cannot put back

سَاعَةً وَلَا تَسْتَقْدِمُونَ

for an hour (or a moment) nor put forward.
