وَمَا يَسْتَوِي الْأَعْمَىٰ وَالْبَصِيرُ ١٩

Not alike are the blind (disbelievers in Islamic Monotheism) and the seeing (believers in Islamic Monotheism).

وَمَا يَسْتَوِي

Not alike are

الْأَعْمَىٰ

the blind (disbelievers in Islamic Monotheism)

وَالْبَصِيرُ

and the seeing (believers in Islamic Monotheism)

وَلَا الظُّلُمَاتُ وَلَا النُّورُ ٢٠

Nor are (alike) the darkness (disbelief) and the light (Belief in Islamic Monotheism).

وَلَا الظُّلُمَاتُ

Nor are (alike) the darkness (disbelief)

وَلَا النُّورُ

and the light (Belief in Islamic Monotheism)

وَلَا الظِّلُّ وَلَا الْحَرُورُ ٢١

Nor are (alike) the shade and the sun's heat.

وَلَا الظِّلُّ

Nor are (alike) the shade

وَلَا الْحَرُورُ

and the sun's heat.

وَمَا يَسْتَوِي الْأَحْيَاءُ وَلَا الْأَمْوَاتُ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُسْمِعُ مَن يَشَاءُ ۖ وَمَا أَنتَ بِمُسْمِعٍ مَّن فِي الْقُبُورِ ٢٢

Nor are (alike) the living (believers) and the dead (disbelievers). Verily, Allah makes whom He will hear, but you cannot make hear those who are in graves.

وَمَا يَسْتَوِي الْأَحْيَاءُ

Nor are (alike) the living (believers)

وَلَا الْأَمْوَاتُ ۚ

and the dead (disbelievers).

إِنَّ اللَّهَ يُسْمِعُ مَن يَشَاءُ ۖ

Verily, Allah makes whom He will hear,

وَمَا أَنتَ بِمُسْمِعٍ

but you cannot make hear

مَّن فِي الْقُبُورِ

those who are in graves.
