فَذَكِّرْ فَمَا أَنتَ بِنِعْمَتِ رَبِّكَ بِكَاهِنٍ وَلَا مَجْنُونٍ ٢٩

Therefore, remind and preach (mankind, O Muhammad SAW of Islamic Monotheism). By the Grace of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor a madman.

فَذَكِّرْ

Therefore, remind

فَمَا أَنتَ

and preach (mankind, O Muhammad SAW)

بِنِعْمَتِ رَبِّكَ

of Islamic Monotheism). By the Grace of Allah,

بِكَاهِنٍ وَلَا مَجْنُونٍ

you are neither a soothsayer, nor a madman.

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ شَاعِرٌ نَّتَرَبَّصُ بِهِ رَيْبَ الْمَنُونِ ٣٠

Or do they say: "(Muhammad SAW is) a poet! We await for him some calamity by time!

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ

Or do they say:

شَاعِرٌ

(Muhammad SAW is) a poet!

نَّتَرَبَّصُ بِهِ

We await for him

رَيْبَ الْمَنُونِ

some calamity by time!

قُلْ تَرَبَّصُوا فَإِنِّي مَعَكُم مِّنَ الْمُتَرَبِّصِينَ ٣١

Say (O Muhammad SAW to them): "Wait! I am with you, among the waiters!"

قُلْ

Say (O Muhammad SAW to them):

تَرَبَّصُوا

Wait!

فَإِنِّي

I am

مَعَكُم

with you,

مِّنَ الْمُتَرَبِّصِينَ

among the waiters!

أَمْ تَأْمُرُهُمْ أَحْلَامُهُم بِهَٰذَا ۚ أَمْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ ٣٢

Do their minds command them this [i.e. to tell a lie against you (Muhammad SAW)] or are they people exceeding the bounds (i.e. from Belief in Allah to disbelief).

أَمْ تَأْمُرُهُمْ

Do their minds command them

أَحْلَامُهُم بِهَٰذَا ۚ

this [i.e. to tell a lie against you (Muhammad SAW)]

أَمْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ طَاغُونَ

or are they people exceeding the bounds (i.e. from Belief in Allah to disbelief)

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ تَقَوَّلَهُ ۚ بَل لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ ٣٣

Or do they say: "He (Muhammad SAW) has forged it (this Quran)?" Nay! They believe not!

أَمْ يَقُولُونَ

Or do they say:

تَقَوَّلَهُ ۚ

He (Muhammad SAW) has forged it (this Quran)?

بَل لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ

Nay! They believe not!

فَلْيَأْتُوا بِحَدِيثٍ مِّثْلِهِ إِن كَانُوا صَادِقِينَ ٣٤

Let them then produce a recital like unto it (the Quran) if they are truthful.

فَلْيَأْتُوا

Let them then produce

بِحَدِيثٍ مِّثْلِهِ

a recital like unto it

إِن كَانُوا صَادِقِينَ

if they are truthful

أَمْ خُلِقُوا مِنْ غَيْرِ شَيْءٍ أَمْ هُمُ الْخَالِقُونَ ٣٥

Were they created by nothing, or were they themselves the creators?

أَمْ خُلِقُوا

Were they created

مِنْ غَيْرِ شَيْءٍ

by nothing

أَمْ هُمُ

or were they

الْخَالِقُونَ

the creators?

أَمْ خَلَقُوا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ ۚ بَل لَّا يُوقِنُونَ ٣٦

Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they have no firm Belief.

أَمْ خَلَقُوا السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ ۚ

Or did they create the heavens and the earth?

بَل لَّا يُوقِنُونَ

Nay, but they have no firm Belief.

أَمْ عِندَهُمْ خَزَائِنُ رَبِّكَ أَمْ هُمُ الْمُصَيْطِرُونَ ٣٧

Or are with them the treasures of your Lord? Or are they the tyrants with the authority to do as they like?

أَمْ عِندَهُمْ خَزَائِنُ رَبِّكَ

Or are with them the treasures of your Lord?

أَمْ هُمُ الْمُصَيْطِرُونَ

Or are they the tyrants with the authority to do as they like?

أَمْ لَهُمْ سُلَّمٌ يَسْتَمِعُونَ فِيهِ ۖ فَلْيَأْتِ مُسْتَمِعُهُم بِسُلْطَانٍ مُّبِينٍ ٣٨

Or have they a stairway (to heaven), by means of which they listen (to the talks of the angels)? Then let their listener produce some manifest proof.

أَمْ لَهُمْ سُلَّمٌ

Or have they a stairway

يَسْتَمِعُونَ فِيهِ ۖ

by means of which they listen

فَلْيَأْتِ مُسْتَمِعُهُم

Then let their listener produce

بِسُلْطَانٍ مُّبِينٍ

some manifest proof

أَمْ لَهُ الْبَنَاتُ وَلَكُمُ الْبَنُونَ ٣٩

Or has He (Allah) only daughters and you have sons?

أَمْ لَهُ الْبَنَاتُ

Or has He (Allah) only daughters

وَلَكُمُ الْبَنُونَ

and you have sons?

أَمْ تَسْأَلُهُمْ أَجْرًا فَهُم مِّن مَّغْرَمٍ مُّثْقَلُونَ ٤٠

Or is it that you (O Muhammad SAW) ask a wage from them (for your preaching of Islamic Monotheism) so that they are burdened with a load of debt?

أَمْ تَسْأَلُهُمْ

Or is it that you (O Muhammad SAW) ask

أَجْرًا

a wage

فَهُم

from them

مِّن مَّغْرَمٍ

so that they are

مُّثْقَلُونَ

burdened with a load of debt

أَمْ عِندَهُمُ الْغَيْبُ فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ ٤١

Or that the Ghaib (unseen) is with them, and they write it down?

أَمْ عِندَهُمُ الْغَيْبُ

Or that the Ghaib (unseen) is with them

فَهُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ

and they write it down?

أَمْ يُرِيدُونَ كَيْدًا ۖ فَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا هُمُ الْمَكِيدُونَ ٤٢

Or do they intend a plot (against you O Muhammad SAW)? But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) are themselves in a plot!

أَمْ يُرِيدُونَ كَيْدًا ۖ

Or do they intend a plot (against you O Muhammad SAW)?

فَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا

But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism)

هُمُ الْمَكِيدُونَ

are themselves in a plot!

أَمْ لَهُمْ إِلَٰهٌ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ ۚ سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ ٤٣

Or have they an ilah (a god) other than Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partners (to Him)

أَمْ لَهُمْ إِلَٰهٌ غَيْرُ اللَّهِ ۚ

Or have they an ilah (a god) other than Allah?

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ

Glorified be Allah

عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ

from all that they ascribe as partners (to Him)
