فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِالْخُنَّسِ ١٥

So verily, I swear by the planets that recede (i.e. disappear during the day and appear during the night).

فَلَا أُقْسِمُ
So verily, I swear by
بِالْخُنَّسِ
the planets that recede (i.e. disappear during the day and appear during the night)

الْجَوَارِ الْكُنَّسِ ١٦

And by the planets that move swiftly and hide themselves,

الْجَوَارِ
the planets that move swiftly
الْكُنَّسِ
and hide themselves

وَاللَّيْلِ إِذَا عَسْعَسَ ١٧

And by the night as it departs;

وَاللَّيْلِ
And by the night
إِذَا عَسْعَسَ
as it departs

وَالصُّبْحِ إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ ١٨

And by the dawn as it brightens;

وَالصُّبْحِ
And by the dawn
إِذَا تَنَفَّسَ
as it brightens

إِنَّهُ لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرِيمٍ ١٩

Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)].

إِنَّهُ
Verily,
لَقَوْلُ رَسُولٍ كَرِيمٍ
this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]

ذِي قُوَّةٍ عِندَ ذِي الْعَرْشِ مَكِينٍ ٢٠

Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne,

ذِي قُوَّةٍ
Owner of power
عِندَ ذِي الْعَرْشِ
and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne
مَكِينٍ

مُّطَاعٍ ثَمَّ أَمِينٍ ٢١

Obeyed (by the angels), trustworthy there (in the heavens).

مُّطَاعٍ
Obeyed (by the angels)
ثَمَّ أَمِينٍ
trustworthy there (in the heavens)

وَمَا صَاحِبُكُم بِمَجْنُونٍ ٢٢

And (O people) your companion (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) is not a madman;

وَمَا صَاحِبُكُم
And (O people) your companion
بِمَجْنُونٍ
is not a madman

وَلَقَدْ رَآهُ بِالْأُفُقِ الْمُبِينِ ٢٣

And indeed he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) saw him [Jibrael (Gabriel)] in the clear horizon (towards the east).

وَلَقَدْ رَآهُ
And indeed he saw him
بِالْأُفُقِ الْمُبِينِ
in the clear horizon

(Muhammad (Peace be upon him))

وَمَا هُوَ عَلَى الْغَيْبِ بِضَنِينٍ ٢٤

And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen.

وَمَا هُوَ
And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him))
عَلَى الْغَيْبِ
withholds not a knowledge of the unseen
بِضَنِينٍ

وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَيْطَانٍ رَّجِيمٍ ٢٥

And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan).

وَمَا هُوَ
And it (the Quran) is not
بِقَوْلِ شَيْطَانٍ
the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan).
رَّجِيمٍ
And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan).

فَأَيْنَ تَذْهَبُونَ ٢٦

Then where are you going?

فَأَيْنَ
Then where
تَذْهَبُونَ
are you going?

إِنْ هُوَ إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ لِّلْعَالَمِينَ ٢٧

Verily, this (the Quran) is no less than a Reminder to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns).

إِنْ هُوَ
Verily, this
إِلَّا ذِكْرٌ
is no less than a Reminder
لِّلْعَالَمِينَ
to (all) the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns)

لِمَن شَاءَ مِنكُمْ أَن يَسْتَقِيمَ ٢٨

To whomsoever among you who wills to walk straight,

لِمَن شَاءَ مِنكُمْ
To whomsoever among you who wills
أَن يَسْتَقِيمَ
to walk straight

وَمَا تَشَاءُونَ إِلَّا أَن يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ ٢٩

And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists).

وَمَا تَشَاءُونَ
And you will not
إِلَّا أَن يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ
unless (it be) that Allah wills
رَبُّ الْعَالَمِينَ
the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)
