قَالَ كَلَّا ۖ إِنَّ مَعِيَ رَبِّي سَيَهْدِينِ ٦٢
[Musa (Moses)] said: "Nay, verily! With me is my Lord, He will guide me."
- قَالَ كَلَّا ۖ
- Musa (Moses) said: 'Nay, verily!'
- إِنَّ مَعِيَ رَبِّي
- With me is my Lord
- سَيَهْدِينِ
- He will guide me.
فَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ أَنِ اضْرِب بِّعَصَاكَ الْبَحْرَ ۖ فَانفَلَقَ فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرْقٍ كَالطَّوْدِ الْعَظِيمِ ٦٣
Then We inspired Musa (Moses) (saying): "Strike the sea with your stick." And it parted, and each separate part (of that sea water) became like the huge, firm mass of a mountain.
- فَأَوْحَيْنَا إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰ
- Then We inspired Musa (Moses)
- أَنِ اضْرِب بِّعَصَاكَ الْبَحْرَ ۖ
- (saying): 'Strike the sea with your stick.'
- فَانفَلَقَ
- And it parted,
- فَكَانَ كُلُّ فِرْقٍ كَالطَّوْدِ الْعَظِيمِ
- and each separate part (of that sea water) became like the huge, firm mass of a mountain.
وَأَزْلَفْنَا ثَمَّ الْآخَرِينَ ٦٤
Then We brought near the others [Fir'aun's (Pharaoh) party] to that place.
- وَأَزْلَفْنَا
- Then We brought near
- ثَمَّ الْآخَرِينَ
- the others [Fir'aun's (Pharaoh) party] to that place.
وَأَنجَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ وَمَن مَّعَهُ أَجْمَعِينَ ٦٥
And We saved Musa (Moses) and all those with him.
- وَأَنجَيْنَا
- And We saved

- وَمَن مَّعَهُ
- and all those with him
- أَجْمَعِينَ
- together
ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا الْآخَرِينَ ٦٦
Then We drowned the others.

إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ٦٧
Verily! In this is indeed a sign (or a proof), yet most of them are not believers.
- إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ
- Verily! In this
- لَآيَةً ۖ
- is indeed a sign (or a proof),
- وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم
- yet most of them
- مُّؤْمِنِينَ
- are not believers.
وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ ٦٨
And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful.
- وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ
- And verily, your Lord!
- لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ
- He is truly the All-Mighty,
- الرَّحِيمُ
- the Most Merciful.
وَاتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَأَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ٦٩
And recite to them the story of Ibrahim (Abraham).
- وَاتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ
- And recite to them
- نَبَأَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ
- the story of Ibrahim (Abraham)
إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ ٧٠
When he said to his father and his people: "What do you worship?"
- إِذْ قَالَ
- When he said
- لِأَبِيهِ وَقَوْمِهِ
- to his father and his people
- مَا تَعْبُدُونَ
- What do you worship?
قَالُوا نَعْبُدُ أَصْنَامًا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَاكِفِينَ ٧١
They said: "We worship idols, and to them we are ever devoted."
- قَالُوا
- They said:
- نَعْبُدُ أَصْنَامًا
- We worship idols,
- فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَاكِفِينَ
- and to them we are ever devoted.
قَالَ هَلْ يَسْمَعُونَكُمْ إِذْ تَدْعُونَ ٧٢
He said: "Do they hear you, when you call (on them)?
- قَالَ
- He said:
- هَلْ يَسْمَعُونَكُمْ
- Do they hear you,
- إِذْ تَدْعُونَ
- when you call (on them)?
أَوْ يَنفَعُونَكُمْ أَوْ يَضُرُّونَ ٧٣
"Or do they benefit you or do they harm (you)?"
- أَوْ يَنفَعُونَكُمْ
- Or do they benefit you
- أَوْ يَضُرُّونَ
- or do they harm (you)?
قَالُوا بَلْ وَجَدْنَا آبَاءَنَا كَذَٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ ٧٤
They said: "Nay, but we found our fathers doing so."
- قَالُوا
- They said
- بَلْ وَجَدْنَا
- Nay, but we found
- آبَاءَنَا
- our fathers
- كَذَٰلِكَ يَفْعَلُونَ
- doing so
قَالَ أَفَرَأَيْتُم مَّا كُنتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ ٧٥
He said: "Do you observe that which you have been worshipping,
- قَالَ
- He said:
- أَفَرَأَيْتُم
- Do you observe
- مَّا كُنتُمْ تَعْبُدُونَ
- that which you have been worshipping,
أَنتُمْ وَآبَاؤُكُمُ الْأَقْدَمُونَ ٧٦
"You and your ancient fathers?
- أَنتُمْ
- You
- وَآبَاؤُكُمُ
- and your fathers
- الْأَقْدَمُونَ
- the ancient
فَإِنَّهُمْ عَدُوٌّ لِّي إِلَّا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ ٧٧
"Verily! They are enemies to me, save the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists);
- فَإِنَّهُمْ عَدُوٌّ لِّي
- Verily! They are enemies to me
- إِلَّا رَبَّ الْعَالَمِينَ
- save the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)
الَّذِي خَلَقَنِي فَهُوَ يَهْدِينِ ٧٨
"Who has created me, and it is He Who guides me;
- الَّذِي خَلَقَنِي
- Who has created me
- فَهُوَ يَهْدِينِ
- and it is He Who guides me
وَالَّذِي هُوَ يُطْعِمُنِي وَيَسْقِينِ ٧٩
"And it is He Who feeds me and gives me to drink.
- وَالَّذِي هُوَ
- And it is He Who
- يُطْعِمُنِي
- feeds me
- وَيَسْقِينِ
- and gives me to drink
وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ ٨٠
"And when I am ill, it is He who cures me.
- وَإِذَا مَرِضْتُ
- And when I am ill
- فَهُوَ يَشْفِينِ
- it is He who cures me
وَالَّذِي يُمِيتُنِي ثُمَّ يُحْيِينِ ٨١
"And Who will cause me to die, and then will bring me to life (again);
- وَالَّذِي يُمِيتُنِي
- And Who will cause me to die
- ثُمَّ يُحْيِينِ
- and then will bring me to life (again)
وَالَّذِي أَطْمَعُ أَن يَغْفِرَ لِي خَطِيئَتِي يَوْمَ الدِّينِ ٨٢
"And Who, I hope will forgive me my faults on the Day of Recompense, (the Day of Resurrection),"
- وَالَّذِي أَطْمَعُ
- And Who, I hope
- أَن يَغْفِرَ لِي خَطِيئَتِي
- will forgive me my faults
- يَوْمَ الدِّينِ
- on the Day of Recompense, (the Day of Resurrection)
