كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ الْمُرْسَلِينَ ١٠٥

The people of Nuh (Noah) belied the Messengers.

كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ

The people of Nuh (Noah) belied

الْمُرْسَلِينَ

the Messengers

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ أَخُوهُمْ نُوحٌ أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ ١٠٦

When their brother Nuh (Noah) said to them: "Will you not fear Allah and obey Him?

إِذْ قَالَ لَهُمْ

When he said to them

أَخُوهُمْ نُوحٌ

their brother Nuh (Noah)

أَلَا تَتَّقُونَ

Will you not fear Allah and obey Him?

إِنِّي لَكُمْ رَسُولٌ أَمِينٌ ١٠٧

"I am a trustworthy Messenger to you.

إِنِّي

I am

لَكُمْ

to you

رَسُولٌ

a Messenger

أَمِينٌ

trustworthy

فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ ١٠٨

"So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me.

فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ

So fear Allah

وَأَطِيعُونِ

keep your duty to Him

وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ١٠٩

"No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists).

وَمَا أَسْأَلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ أَجْرٍ ۖ

No reward do I ask of you for it

إِنْ أَجْرِيَ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ

my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)

فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُونِ ١١٠

"So keep your duty to Allah, fear Him and obey me."

فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ

So keep your duty to Allah

وَأَطِيعُونِ

and obey me

۞ قَالُوا أَنُؤْمِنُ لَكَ وَاتَّبَعَكَ الْأَرْذَلُونَ ١١١

They said: "Shall we believe in you, when the meanest (of the people) follow you?"

۞ قَالُوا

They said:

أَنُؤْمِنُ لَكَ

Shall we believe in you,

وَاتَّبَعَكَ

when (the people) follow you

الْأَرْذَلُونَ

the meanest?

قَالَ وَمَا عِلْمِي بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ ١١٢

He said: "And what knowledge have I of what they used to do?

قَالَ

He said:

وَمَا عِلْمِي

And what knowledge have I

بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ

of what they used to do?

إِنْ حِسَابُهُمْ إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّي ۖ لَوْ تَشْعُرُونَ ١١٣

"Their account is only with my Lord, if you could (but) know.

إِنْ حِسَابُهُمْ

Their account is

إِلَّا عَلَىٰ رَبِّي ۖ

only with my Lord,

لَوْ تَشْعُرُونَ

if you could (but) know.

وَمَا أَنَا بِطَارِدِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ١١٤

"And I am not going to drive away the believers.

وَمَا أَنَا

And I am not

بِطَارِدِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

going to drive away the believers

إِنْ أَنَا إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ ١١٥

I am only a plain warner."

إِنْ أَنَا

I am only

إِلَّا نَذِيرٌ

a plain warner

مُّبِينٌ

قَالُوا لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ يَا نُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمَرْجُومِينَ ١١٦

They said: "If you cease not, O Nuh (Noah)! You will surely be among those stoned (to death)."

قَالُوا

They said:

لَئِن لَّمْ تَنتَهِ

If you cease not,

يَا نُوحُ لَتَكُونَنَّ

O Nuh (Noah)!

مِنَ

You will surely be

الْمَرْجُومِينَ

among those stoned (to death).

قَالَ رَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِي كَذَّبُونِ ١١٧

He said: "My Lord! Verily, my people have belied me.

قَالَ رَبِّ

He said: 'My Lord!

إِنَّ قَوْمِي

Verily, my people

كَذَّبُونِ

have belied me.

فَافْتَحْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُمْ فَتْحًا وَنَجِّنِي وَمَن مَّعِيَ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ ١١٨

Therefore judge You between me and them, and save me and those of the believers who are with me."

فَافْتَحْ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُمْ

Therefore judge You between me and them

فَتْحًا

a judgment

وَنَجِّنِي وَمَن مَّعِيَ

and save me and those of the believers who are with me

فَأَنجَيْنَاهُ وَمَن مَّعَهُ فِي الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُونِ ١١٩

And We saved him and those with him in the laden ship.

فَأَنجَيْنَاهُ

And We saved him

وَمَن مَّعَهُ

and those with him

فِي الْفُلْكِ الْمَشْحُونِ

in the laden ship

ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا بَعْدُ الْبَاقِينَ ١٢٠

Then We drowned the rest (disbelievers) thereafter.

ثُمَّ

Then

أَغْرَقْنَا

We drowned

بَعْدُ

thereafter

الْبَاقِينَ

the rest (disbelievers)

إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَةً ۖ وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ ١٢١

Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers.

إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ

Verily, in this

لَآيَةً ۖ

is indeed a sign,

وَمَا كَانَ أَكْثَرُهُم

yet most of them

مُّؤْمِنِينَ

are not believers.

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ ١٢٢

And verily! Your Lord, He is indeed the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful.

وَإِنَّ رَبَّكَ

And verily! Your Lord,

لَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ

He is indeed the All-Mighty,

الرَّحِيمُ

the Most Merciful.
