أَوَلَمْ يَهْدِ لَهُمْ كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّنَ الْقُرُونِ يَمْشُونَ فِي مَسَاكِنِهِمْ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ ۖ أَفَلَا يَسْمَعُونَ ٢٦

Is it not a guidance for them, how many generations We have destroyed before them in whose dwellings they do walk about? Verily, therein indeed are signs. Would they not then listen?

أَوَلَمْ يَهْدِ لَهُمْ

Is it not a guidance for them,

كَمْ أَهْلَكْنَا مِن قَبْلِهِم مِّنَ الْقُرُونِ

how many generations We have destroyed before them

يَمْشُونَ فِي مَسَاكِنِهِمْ ۚ

in whose dwellings they do walk about?

إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ ۖ

Verily, therein indeed are signs.

أَفَلَا يَسْمَعُونَ

Would they not then listen?

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا أَنَّا نَسُوقُ الْمَاءَ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ الْجُرُزِ فَنُخْرِجُ بِهِ زَرْعًا تَأْكُلُ مِنْهُ أَنْعَامُهُمْ وَأَنفُسُهُمْ ۖ أَفَلَا يُبْصِرُونَ ٢٧

Have they not seen how We drive water (rain clouds) to the dry land without any vegetation, and therewith bring forth crops providing food for their cattle and themselves? Will they not then see?

أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا

Have they not seen

أَنَّا نَسُوقُ الْمَاءَ

how We drive water (rain clouds)

إِلَى الْأَرْضِ الْجُرُزِ

to the dry land without any vegetation

فَنُخْرِجُ بِهِ زَرْعًا

and therewith bring forth crops

تَأْكُلُ مِنْهُ أَنْعَامُهُمْ وَأَنفُسُهُمْ ۖ

providing food for their cattle and themselves

أَفَلَا يُبْصِرُونَ

Will they not then see?
