فَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ حِينَ تُمْسُونَ وَحِينَ تُصْبِحُونَ ١٧

So glorify Allah [above all that (evil) they associate with Him (O believers)], when you come up to the evening [i.e. offer the (Maghrib) sunset and ('Isha') night prayers], and when you enter the morning [i.e. offer the (Fajr) morning prayer].

فَسُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ

So glorify Allah

حِينَ تُمْسُونَ

when you come up to the evening

وَحِينَ تُصْبِحُونَ

and when you enter the morning

above all that (evil) they associate with Him (O believers)

when you enter the morning and when you come up to the evening

when you enter the morning [i.e. offer the (Fajr) morning prayer]

when you come up to the evening [i.e. offer the (Maghrib) sunset and ('Isha') night prayers]

وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَعَشِيًّا وَحِينَ تُظْهِرُونَ ١٨

And His is all the praises and thanks in the heavens and the earth, and (glorify Him) in the afternoon (i.e. offer 'Asr prayer) and when you come up to the time, when the day begins to decline (i.e. offer Zuhr prayer). (Ibn 'Abbas said: "These are the five compulsory congregational prayers mentioned in the Quran)."

وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ

And His is all the praises and thanks in the heavens and the earth,

وَعَشِيًّا

and (glorify Him) in the afternoon

وَحِينَ تُظْهِرُونَ

and when you come up to the time, when the day begins to decline

(i.e. offer 'Asr prayer) and (i.e. offer Zuhr prayer).

These are the five compulsory congregational prayers mentioned in the Quran.

يُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَيُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتَ مِنَ الْحَيِّ وَيُحْيِي الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا ۚ وَكَذَٰلِكَ تُخْرَجُونَ ١٩

He brings out the living from the dead, and brings out the dead from the living. And He revives the earth after its death. And thus shall you be brought out (resurrected).

يُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ

He brings out the living from the dead

وَيُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتَ مِنَ الْحَيِّ

and brings out the dead from the living

وَيُحْيِي الْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا ۚ

And He revives the earth after its death

وَكَذَٰلِكَ تُخْرَجُونَ

And thus shall you be brought out (resurrected)
