۞ لَّا خَيْرَ فِي كَثِيرٍ مِّن نَّجْوَاهُمْ إِلَّا مَنْ أَمَرَ بِصَدَقَةٍ أَوْ مَعْرُوفٍ أَوْ إِصْلَاحٍ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ ۚ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ ابْتِغَاءَ مَرْضَاتِ اللَّهِ فَسَوْفَ نُؤْتِيهِ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا ١١٤

There is no good in most of their secret talks save (in) him who orders Sadaqah (charity in Allah's Cause), or Ma'ruf (Islamic Monotheism and all the good and righteous deeds which Allah has ordained), or conciliation between mankind, and he who does this, seeking the good Pleasure of Allah, We shall give him a great reward.

۞ لَّا خَيْرَ فِي كَثِيرٍ مِّن نَّجْوَاهُمْ

There is no good in most of their secret talks

إِلَّا مَنْ أَمَرَ بِصَدَقَةٍ

save (in) him who orders Sadaqah (charity in Allah's Cause)

أَوْ مَعْرُوفٍ

or Ma'ruf (Islamic Monotheism and all the good and righteous deeds which Allah has ordained)

أَوْ إِصْلَاحٍ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ ۚ

or conciliation between mankind

وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ

and he who does this

ابْتِغَاءَ مَرْضَاتِ اللَّهِ

seeking the good Pleasure of Allah

فَسَوْفَ نُؤْتِيهِ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا

We shall give him a great reward

وَمَن يُشَاقِقِ الرَّسُولَ مِن بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ الْهُدَىٰ وَيَتَّبِعْ غَيْرَ سَبِيلِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ نُوَلِّهِ مَا تَوَلَّىٰ وَنُصْلِهِ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ وَسَاءَتْ مَصِيرًا ١١٥

And whoever contradicts and opposes the Messenger (Muhammad SAW) after the right path has been shown clearly to him, and follows other than the believers' way. We shall keep him in the path he has chosen, and burn him in Hell - what an evil destination.

وَمَن يُشَاقِقِ الرَّسُولَ

And whoever contradicts and opposes the Messenger (Muhammad SAW)

مِن بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُ الْهُدَىٰ

after the right path has been shown clearly to him

وَيَتَّبِعْ غَيْرَ سَبِيلِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

and follows other than the believers' way

نُوَلِّهِ مَا تَوَلَّىٰ

We shall keep him in the path he has chosen

وَنُصْلِهِ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ

and burn him in Hell

وَسَاءَتْ مَصِيرًا

what an evil destination

إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَغْفِرُ أَن يُشْرَكَ بِهِ وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَن يَشَاءُ ۚ وَمَن يُشْرِكْ بِاللَّهِ فَقَدْ ضَلَّ ضَلَالًا بَعِيدًا ١١٦

Verily! Allah forgives not (the sin of) setting up partners in worship with Him, but He forgives whom he pleases sins other than that, and whoever sets up partners in worship with Allah, has indeed strayed far away.

إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَغْفِرُ أَن يُشْرَكَ بِهِ

Verily! Allah forgives not (the sin of) setting up partners in worship with Him,

وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَن يَشَاءُ ۚ

but He forgives whom He pleases sins other than that,

وَمَن يُشْرِكْ بِاللَّهِ

and whoever sets up partners in worship with Allah,

فَقَدْ ضَلَّ ضَلَالًا بَعِيدًا

has indeed strayed far away.

إِن يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ إِلَّا إِنَاثًا وَإِن يَدْعُونَ إِلَّا شَيْطَانًا مَّرِيدًا ١١٧

They (all those who worship others than Allah) invoke nothing but female deities besides Him (Allah), and they invoke nothing but Shaitan (Satan), a persistent rebel!

إِن يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ

They invoke nothing but

إِلَّا إِنَاثًا

female deities besides Him (Allah),

وَإِن يَدْعُونَ

and they invoke nothing but

إِلَّا شَيْطَانًا مَّرِيدًا

Shaitan (Satan), a persistent rebel!

لَّعَنَهُ اللَّهُ ۘ وَقَالَ لَأَتَّخِذَنَّ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ نَصِيبًا مَّفْرُوضًا ١١٨

Allah cursed him. And he [Shaitan (Satan)] said: "I will take an appointed portion of your slaves;

لَّعَنَهُ اللَّهُ ۘ

Allah cursed him.

وَقَالَ

And he [Shaitan (Satan)] said:

لَأَتَّخِذَنَّ مِنْ عِبَادِكَ

I will take an appointed portion of your slaves;

نَصِيبًا مَّفْرُوضًا

وَلَأُضِلَّنَّهُمْ وَلَأُمَنِّيَنَّهُمْ وَلَآمُرَنَّهُمْ فَلَيُبَتِّكُنَّ آذَانَ الْأَنْعَامِ وَلَآمُرَنَّهُمْ فَلَيُغَيِّرُنَّ خَلْقَ اللَّهِ ۚ وَمَن يَتَّخِذِ الشَّيْطَانَ وَلِيًّا مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ فَقَدْ خَسِرَ خُسْرَانًا مُّبِينًا ١١٩

Verily, I will mislead them, and surely, I will arouse in them false desires; and certainly, I will order them to slit the ears of cattle, and indeed I will order them to change the nature created by Allah." And whoever takes Shaitan (Satan) as a Wali (protector or helper) instead of Allah, has surely suffered a manifest loss.

وَلَأُضِلَّنَّهُمْ

Verily, I will mislead them,

وَلَأُمَنِّيَنَّهُمْ

and surely, I will arouse in them false desires;

وَلَآمُرَنَّهُمْ

and certainly, I will order them

فَلَيُبَتِّكُنَّ آذَانَ الْأَنْعَامِ

to slit the ears of cattle,

وَلَآمُرَنَّهُمْ فَلَيُغَيِّرُنَّ خَلْقَ اللَّهِ ۚ

and indeed I will order them to change the nature created by Allah.

وَمَن يَتَّخِذِ الشَّيْطَانَ وَلِيًّا مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ

And whoever takes Shaitan (Satan) as a Wali (protector or helper) instead of Allah,

فَقَدْ خَسِرَ خُسْرَانًا مُّبِينًا

has surely suffered a manifest loss.

يَعِدُهُمْ وَيُمَنِّيهِمْ ۖ وَمَا يَعِدُهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ إِلَّا غُرُورًا ١٢٠

He [Shaitan (Satan)] makes promises to them, and arouses in them false desires; and Shaitan's (Satan) promises are nothing but deceptions.

يَعِدُهُمْ

He makes promises to them

وَيُمَنِّيهِمْ ۖ

and arouses in them false desires

وَمَا يَعِدُهُمُ الشَّيْطَانُ

and Shaitan's (Satan) promises are

إِلَّا غُرُورًا

nothing but deceptions

أُولَٰئِكَ مَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ وَلَا يَجِدُونَ عَنْهَا مَحِيصًا ١٢١

The dwelling of such (people) is Hell, and they will find no way of escape from it.

أُولَٰئِكَ

The dwelling of such (people)

مَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ

is Hell

وَلَا يَجِدُونَ

and they will find

عَنْهَا مَحِيصًا

no way of escape from it.
