تِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللَّهِ ۚ وَمَن يُطِعِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ يُدْخِلْهُ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ وَذَٰلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ ١٣
These are the limits (set by) Allah (or ordainments as regards laws of inheritance), and whosoever obeys Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad SAW) will be admitted to Gardens under which rivers flow (in Paradise), to abide therein, and that will be the great success.
- تِلْكَ حُدُودُ اللَّهِ ۚ
- These are the limits (set by) Allah
- وَمَن يُطِعِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ
- and whosoever obeys Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad SAW)
- يُدْخِلْهُ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ
- will be admitted to Gardens under which rivers flow (in Paradise)
- خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ
- to abide therein
- وَذَٰلِكَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظِيمُ
- and that will be the great success
وَمَن يَعْصِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَيَتَعَدَّ حُدُودَهُ يُدْخِلْهُ نَارًا خَالِدًا فِيهَا وَلَهُ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ ١٤
And whosoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad SAW), and transgresses His limits, He will cast him into the Fire, to abide therein; and he shall have a disgraceful torment.
- وَمَن يَعْصِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ
- And whosoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger (Muhammad SAW)
- وَيَتَعَدَّ حُدُودَهُ
- and transgresses His limits
- يُدْخِلْهُ نَارًا خَالِدًا فِيهَا
- He will cast him into the Fire, to abide therein
- وَلَهُ عَذَابٌ مُّهِينٌ
- and he shall have a disgraceful torment
وَاللَّاتِي يَأْتِينَ الْفَاحِشَةَ مِن نِّسَائِكُمْ فَاسْتَشْهِدُوا عَلَيْهِنَّ أَرْبَعَةً مِّنكُمْ ۖ فَإِن شَهِدُوا فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّ فِي الْبُيُوتِ حَتَّىٰ يَتَوَفَّاهُنَّ الْمَوْتُ أَوْ يَجْعَلَ اللَّهُ لَهُنَّ سَبِيلًا ١٥
And those of your women who commit illegal sexual intercourse, take the evidence of four witnesses from amongst you against them; and if they testify, confine them (i.e. women) to houses until death comes to them or Allah ordains for them some (other) way.
- وَاللَّاتِي يَأْتِينَ الْفَاحِشَةَ مِن نِّسَائِكُمْ
- And those of your women who commit illegal sexual intercourse,
- فَاسْتَشْهِدُوا عَلَيْهِنَّ أَرْبَعَةً مِّنكُمْ ۖ
- take the evidence of four witnesses from amongst you against them;
- فَإِن شَهِدُوا
- and if they testify,
- فَأَمْسِكُوهُنَّ فِي الْبُيُوتِ
- confine them (i.e. women) to houses
- حَتَّىٰ يَتَوَفَّاهُنَّ الْمَوْتُ
- until death comes to them
- أَوْ يَجْعَلَ اللَّهُ لَهُنَّ سَبِيلًا
- or Allah ordains for them some (other) way.
وَاللَّذَانِ يَأْتِيَانِهَا مِنكُمْ فَآذُوهُمَا ۖ فَإِن تَابَا وَأَصْلَحَا فَأَعْرِضُوا عَنْهُمَا ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ تَوَّابًا رَّحِيمًا ١٦
And the two persons (man and woman) among you who commit illegal sexual intercourse, punish them both. And if they repent (promise Allah that they will never repeat, i.e. commit illegal sexual intercourse and other similar sins) and do righteous good deeds, leave them alone. Surely, Allah is Ever the One Who accepts repentance, (and He is) Most Merciful.
- وَاللَّذَانِ يَأْتِيَانِهَا مِنكُمْ
- And the two persons (man and woman) among you
- فَآذُوهُمَا ۖ
- who commit illegal sexual intercourse, punish them both.
- فَإِن تَابَا وَأَصْلَحَا
- And if they repent (promise Allah that they will never repeat, i.e. commit illegal sexual intercourse and other similar sins) and do righteous good deeds,
- فَأَعْرِضُوا عَنْهُمَا ۗ
- leave them alone.
- إِنَّ اللَّهَ كَانَ تَوَّابًا رَّحِيمًا
- Surely, Allah is Ever the One Who accepts repentance, (and He is) Most Merciful.
