The Role of the Quran as a Clear Guide and the Fate of Believers and Disbelievers in the Hereafter

طس ۚ تِلْكَ آيَاتُ الْقُرْآنِ وَكِتَابٍ مُّبِينٍ ١
Ta-Sin. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. These are the Verses of the Quran, and (it is) a Book (that makes things) clear;
- طس ۚ
- Ta-Sin
- تِلْكَ آيَاتُ الْقُرْآنِ
- These are the Verses of the Quran
- وَكِتَابٍ مُّبِينٍ
- and (it is) a Book (that makes things) clear
هُدًى وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ ٢
A guide (to the Right Path); and glad tidings for the believers [who believe in the Oneness of Allah (i.e. Islamic Monotheism)].
- هُدًى
- A guide (to the Right Path)
- وَبُشْرَىٰ
- and glad tidings
- لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ
- for the believers [who believe in the Oneness of Allah (i.e. Islamic Monotheism)]
الَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ وَهُم بِالْآخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوقِنُونَ ٣
Those who perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat) and give Zakat and they believe with certainty in the Hereafter (resurrection, recompense of their good and bad deeds, Paradise and Hell, etc.).
- الَّذِينَ يُقِيمُونَ الصَّلَاةَ
- Those who perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat)
- وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكَاةَ
- and give Zakat
- وَهُم بِالْآخِرَةِ هُمْ يُوقِنُونَ
- and they believe with certainty in the Hereafter (resurrection, recompense of their good and bad deeds, Paradise and Hell, etc.)
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ زَيَّنَّا لَهُمْ أَعْمَالَهُمْ فَهُمْ يَعْمَهُونَ ٤
Verily, those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have made their deeds fair-seeming to them, so they wander about blindly.
- إِنَّ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْآخِرَةِ
- Verily, those who believe not in the Hereafter,
- زَيَّنَّا لَهُمْ أَعْمَالَهُمْ
- We have made their deeds fair-seeming to them,
- فَهُمْ يَعْمَهُونَ
- so they wander about blindly.
أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ لَهُمْ سُوءُ الْعَذَابِ وَهُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ هُمُ الْأَخْسَرُونَ ٥
They are those for whom there will be an evil torment (in this world). And in the Hereafter they will be the greatest losers.
- أُولَٰئِكَ الَّذِينَ
- They are those
- لَهُمْ سُوءُ الْعَذَابِ
- for whom there will be an evil torment
- وَهُمْ فِي الْآخِرَةِ
- And in the Hereafter
- هُمُ الْأَخْسَرُونَ
- they will be the greatest losers
وَإِنَّكَ لَتُلَقَّى الْقُرْآنَ مِن لَّدُنْ حَكِيمٍ عَلِيمٍ ٦
And verily, you (O Muhammad SAW) are receiving the Quran from the One, All-Wise, All-Knowing.
- وَإِنَّكَ
- And verily, you (O Muhammad SAW)
- لَتُلَقَّى الْقُرْآنَ
- are receiving the Quran
- مِن لَّدُنْ
- from the One,
- حَكِيمٍ عَلِيمٍ
- All-Wise, All-Knowing.
