الَّذِينَ يَجْتَنِبُونَ كَبَائِرَ الْإِثْمِ وَالْفَوَاحِشَ إِلَّا اللَّمَمَ ۚ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ وَاسِعُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ ۚ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِكُمْ إِذْ أَنشَأَكُم مِّنَ الْأَرْضِ وَإِذْ أَنتُمْ أَجِنَّةٌ فِي بُطُونِ أُمَّهَاتِكُمْ ۖ فَلَا تُزَكُّوا أَنفُسَكُمْ ۖ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنِ اتَّقَىٰ ٣٢
Those who avoid great sins (see the Quran, Verses: 6:152, 153) and Al-Fawahish (illegal sexual intercourse, etc.) except the small faults, verily, your Lord is of vast forgiveness. He knows you well when He created you from the earth (Adam), and when you were fetuses in your mothers' wombs. So ascribe not purity to yourselves. He knows best him who fears Allah and keep his duty to Him [i.e. those who are Al-Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2)].
- الَّذِينَ يَجْتَنِبُونَ كَبَائِرَ الْإِثْمِ وَالْفَوَاحِشَ

- إِلَّا اللَّمَمَ ۚ

- إِنَّ رَبَّكَ وَاسِعُ الْمَغْفِرَةِ ۚ
- verily, your Lord is of vast forgiveness
- هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِكُمْ
- He knows you well
- إِذْ أَنشَأَكُم مِّنَ الْأَرْضِ
- when He created you from the earth
- وَإِذْ أَنتُمْ أَجِنَّةٌ فِي بُطُونِ أُمَّهَاتِكُمْ ۖ
- and when you were fetuses in your mothers' wombs
- فَلَا تُزَكُّوا أَنفُسَكُمْ ۖ
- So ascribe not purity to yourselves
- هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَنِ اتَّقَىٰ
- He knows best him who fears Allah and keeps his duty to Him
أَفَرَأَيْتَ الَّذِي تَوَلَّىٰ ٣٣
Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam).
- أَفَرَأَيْتَ
- Did you observe
- الَّذِي تَوَلَّىٰ
- him who turned away (from Islam)
وَأَعْطَىٰ قَلِيلًا وَأَكْدَىٰ ٣٤
And gave a little, then stopped (giving)?
- وَأَعْطَىٰ قَلِيلًا
- And gave a little
- وَأَكْدَىٰ
- then stopped (giving)
أَعِندَهُ عِلْمُ الْغَيْبِ فَهُوَ يَرَىٰ ٣٥
Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees?
- أَعِندَهُ
- Is with him
- عِلْمُ الْغَيْبِ
- the knowledge of the unseen
- فَهُوَ
- so that he
- يَرَىٰ
- sees?
أَمْ لَمْ يُنَبَّأْ بِمَا فِي صُحُفِ مُوسَىٰ ٣٦
Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses),
- أَمْ لَمْ يُنَبَّأْ
- Or is he not informed
- بِمَا فِي صُحُفِ مُوسَىٰ
- with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses)
وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ الَّذِي وَفَّىٰ ٣٧
And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey),
- وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ
- And of Ibrahim (Abraham)
- الَّذِي وَفَّىٰ
- who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that
- what Allah ordered him to do or convey
أَلَّا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰ ٣٨
That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another.
- أَلَّا تَزِرُ
- That no burdened person
- وَازِرَةٌ
- with sins
- وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰ
- shall bear the burden of another
وَأَن لَّيْسَ لِلْإِنسَانِ إِلَّا مَا سَعَىٰ ٣٩
And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad).
- وَأَن لَّيْسَ لِلْإِنسَانِ
- And that man can have nothing
- إِلَّا مَا سَعَىٰ
- but what he does (good or bad)
وَأَنَّ سَعْيَهُ سَوْفَ يُرَىٰ ٤٠
And that his deeds will be seen,
- وَأَنَّ سَعْيَهُ
- And that his deeds
- سَوْفَ يُرَىٰ
- will be seen
ثُمَّ يُجْزَاهُ الْجَزَاءَ الْأَوْفَىٰ ٤١
Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense.
- ثُمَّ
- Then
- يُجْزَاهُ
- he will be recompensed
- الْجَزَاءَ الْأَوْفَىٰ
- with a full and the best recompense
