وَإِذَا بَدَّلْنَا آيَةً مَّكَانَ آيَةٍ ۙ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُنَزِّلُ قَالُوا إِنَّمَا أَنتَ مُفْتَرٍ ۚ بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ ١٠١
And when We change a Verse [of the Quran, i.e. cancel (abrogate) its order] in place of another, and Allah knows the best of what He sends down, they (the disbelievers) say: "You (O Muhammad SAW) are but a Muftari! (forger, liar)." Nay, but most of them know not.
- وَإِذَا بَدَّلْنَا آيَةً مَّكَانَ آيَةٍ ۙ
- And when We change a Verse in place of another,
- وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يُنَزِّلُ
- and Allah knows the best of what He sends down,
- قَالُوا إِنَّمَا أَنتَ مُفْتَرٍ ۚ
- they (the disbelievers) say: 'You (O Muhammad SAW) are but a Muftari! (forger, liar).'
- بَلْ أَكْثَرُهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
- Nay, but most of them know not.
قُلْ نَزَّلَهُ رُوحُ الْقُدُسِ مِن رَّبِّكَ بِالْحَقِّ لِيُثَبِّتَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَهُدًى وَبُشْرَىٰ لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ ١٠٢
Say (O Muhammad SAW) Ruh-ul-Qudus [Jibrael (Gabriel)] has brought it (the Quran) down from your Lord with truth, that it may make firm and strengthen (the Faith of) those who believe and as a guidance and glad tidings to those who have submitted (to Allah as Muslims).
- قُلْ نَزَّلَهُ
- Say (O Muhammad SAW) has brought it down
- رُوحُ الْقُدُسِ
- Ruh-ul-Qudus [Jibrael (Gabriel)]
- مِن رَّبِّكَ
- from your Lord
- بِالْحَقِّ
- with truth
- لِيُثَبِّتَ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا
- that it may make firm and strengthen (the Faith of) those who believe
- وَهُدًى وَبُشْرَىٰ
- and as a guidance and glad tidings
- لِلْمُسْلِمِينَ
- to those who have submitted (to Allah as Muslims)
وَلَقَدْ نَعْلَمُ أَنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ إِنَّمَا يُعَلِّمُهُ بَشَرٌ ۗ لِّسَانُ الَّذِي يُلْحِدُونَ إِلَيْهِ أَعْجَمِيٌّ وَهَٰذَا لِسَانٌ عَرَبِيٌّ مُّبِينٌ ١٠٣
And indeed We know that they (polytheists and pagans) say: "It is only a human being who teaches him (Muhammad SAW)." The tongue of the man they refer to is foreign, while this (the Quran) is a clear Arabic tongue.
- وَلَقَدْ نَعْلَمُ
- And indeed We know that
- أَنَّهُمْ يَقُولُونَ
- they (polytheists and pagans) say:
- إِنَّمَا يُعَلِّمُهُ بَشَرٌ ۗ
- "It is only a human being who teaches him (Muhammad SAW)."
- لِّسَانُ الَّذِي يُلْحِدُونَ إِلَيْهِ
- The tongue of the man they refer to
- أَعْجَمِيٌّ
- is foreign,
- وَهَٰذَا لِسَانٌ عَرَبِيٌّ مُّبِينٌ
- while this (the Quran) is a clear Arabic tongue.
إِنَّ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ لَا يَهْدِيهِمُ اللَّهُ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ ١٠٤
Verily! Those who believe not in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah, Allah will not guide them and theirs will be a painful torment.
- إِنَّ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
- Verily! Those who believe not
- بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ
- in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah,
- لَا يَهْدِيهِمُ اللَّهُ
- Allah will not guide them
- وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ
- and theirs will be a painful torment.
إِنَّمَا يَفْتَرِي الْكَذِبَ الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ ۖ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْكَاذِبُونَ ١٠٥
It is only those who believe not in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah, who fabricate falsehood, and it is they who are liars.
- إِنَّمَا يَفْتَرِي الْكَذِبَ
- It is only those who fabricate falsehood,
- الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِآيَاتِ اللَّهِ ۖ
- who believe not in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah,
- وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْكَاذِبُونَ
- and it is they who are liars.
