وَإِنْ عَاقَبْتُمْ فَعَاقِبُوا بِمِثْلِ مَا عُوقِبْتُم بِهِ ۖ وَلَئِن صَبَرْتُمْ لَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لِّلصَّابِرِينَ ١٢٦
And if you punish (your enemy, O you believers in the Oneness of Allah), then punish them with the like of that with which you were afflicted. But if you endure patiently, verily, it is better for As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.).
- وَإِنْ عَاقَبْتُمْ
- And if you punish (your enemy, O you believers in the Oneness of Allah),
- فَعَاقِبُوا بِمِثْلِ مَا عُوقِبْتُم بِهِ ۖ
- then punish them with the like of that with which you were afflicted.
- وَلَئِن صَبَرْتُمْ
- But if you endure patiently,
- لَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لِّلصَّابِرِينَ
- verily, it is better for As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.).
وَاصْبِرْ وَمَا صَبْرُكَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ ۚ وَلَا تَحْزَنْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا تَكُ فِي ضَيْقٍ مِّمَّا يَمْكُرُونَ ١٢٧
And endure you patiently (O Muhammad SAW), your patience is not but from Allah. And grieve not over them (polytheists and pagans, etc.), and be not distressed because of what they plot.
- وَاصْبِرْ
- And endure you patiently
- وَمَا صَبْرُكَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ ۚ
- your patience is not but from Allah
- وَلَا تَحْزَنْ عَلَيْهِمْ
- And grieve not over them
- وَلَا تَكُ فِي ضَيْقٍ مِّمَّا يَمْكُرُونَ
- and be not distressed because of what they plot
إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوا وَّالَّذِينَ هُم مُّحْسِنُونَ ١٢٨
Truly, Allah is with those who fear Him (keep their duty unto Him), and those who are Muhsinun (good-doers, - see the footnote of V. 9:120).
- إِنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ
- Truly, Allah is with
- الَّذِينَ اتَّقَوا
- those who fear Him (keep their duty unto Him),
- وَّالَّذِينَ هُم مُّحْسِنُونَ
- and those who are Muhsinun (good-doers, - see the footnote of V. 9:120).
