وَيَوْمَ نَبْعَثُ مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ شَهِيدًا ثُمَّ لَا يُؤْذَنُ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَلَا هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ ٨٤

And (remember) the Day when We shall raise up from each nation a witness (their Messenger), then, those who have disbelieved will not be given leave (to put forward excuses), nor will they be allowed (to return to the world) to repent and ask for Allah's Forgiveness (of their sins, etc.).

وَيَوْمَ نَبْعَثُ مِن كُلِّ أُمَّةٍ شَهِيدًا

And (remember) the Day when We shall raise up from each nation a witness (their Messenger)

ثُمَّ لَا يُؤْذَنُ لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا

then, those who have disbelieved will not be given leave (to put forward excuses)

وَلَا هُمْ يُسْتَعْتَبُونَ

nor will they be allowed (to return to the world) to repent and ask for Allah's Forgiveness (of their sins, etc.)

وَإِذَا رَأَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا الْعَذَابَ فَلَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمْ وَلَا هُمْ يُنظَرُونَ ٨٥

And when those who did wrong (the disbelievers) will see the torment, then it will not be lightened unto them, nor will they be given respite.

وَإِذَا رَأَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا الْعَذَابَ

And when those who did wrong (the disbelievers) will see the torment,

فَلَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمْ

then it will not be lightened unto them,

وَلَا هُمْ يُنظَرُونَ

nor will they be given respite.

وَإِذَا رَأَى الَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا شُرَكَاءَهُمْ قَالُوا رَبَّنَا هَٰؤُلَاءِ شُرَكَاؤُنَا الَّذِينَ كُنَّا نَدْعُو مِن دُونِكَ ۖ فَأَلْقَوْا إِلَيْهِمُ الْقَوْلَ إِنَّكُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ ٨٦

And when those who associated partners with Allah see their (Allah's so-called) partners, they will say: "Our Lord! These are our partners whom we used to invoke besides you." But they will throw back their word at them (and say): "Surely! You indeed are liars!"

وَإِذَا رَأَى الَّذِينَ أَشْرَكُوا شُرَكَاءَهُمْ

And when those who associated partners with Allah see their (Allah's so-called) partners,

قَالُوا رَبَّنَا هَٰؤُلَاءِ شُرَكَاؤُنَا

they will say: 'Our Lord! These are our partners

الَّذِينَ كُنَّا نَدْعُو مِن دُونِكَ ۖ

whom we used to invoke besides you.'

فَأَلْقَوْا إِلَيْهِمُ الْقَوْلَ

But they will throw back their word at them

إِنَّكُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ

and say: 'Surely! You indeed are liars!'

وَأَلْقَوْا إِلَى اللَّهِ يَوْمَئِذٍ السَّلَمَ ۖ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ ٨٧

And they will offer (their full) submission to Allah (Alone) on that Day, and their invented false deities [all that they used to invoke besides Allah, e.g. idols, saints, priests, monks, angels, jinns, Jibrael (Gabriel), Messengers, etc.] will vanish from them.

وَأَلْقَوْا إِلَى اللَّهِ يَوْمَئِذٍ السَّلَمَ ۖ

And they will offer (their full) submission to Allah (Alone) on that Day,

وَضَلَّ عَنْهُم مَّا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ

and their invented false deities [all that they used to invoke besides Allah, e.g. idols, saints, priests, monks, angels, jinns, Jibrael (Gabriel), Messengers, etc.] will vanish from them.

الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَصَدُّوا عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ زِدْنَاهُمْ عَذَابًا فَوْقَ الْعَذَابِ بِمَا كَانُوا يُفْسِدُونَ ٨٨

Those who disbelieved and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah, for them We will add torment over the torment; because they used to spread corruption [by disobeying Allah themselves, as well as ordering others (mankind) to do so].

الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا

Those who disbelieved

وَصَدُّوا عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ

and hinder (men) from the Path of Allah

زِدْنَاهُمْ عَذَابًا فَوْقَ الْعَذَابِ

for them We will add torment over the torment

بِمَا كَانُوا يُفْسِدُونَ

because they used to spread corruption [by disobeying Allah themselves, as well as ordering others (mankind) to do so]
