أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ مِهَادًا ٦

Have We not made the earth as a bed,

أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ

Have We not made the earth

مِهَادًا

as a bed

وَالْجِبَالَ أَوْتَادًا ٧

And the mountains as pegs?

وَالْجِبَالَ

And the mountains

أَوْتَادًا

as pegs

وَخَلَقْنَاكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا ٨

And We have created you in pairs (male and female, tall and short, good and bad, etc.).

وَخَلَقْنَاكُمْ

And We have created you

أَزْوَاجًا

in pairs (male and female, tall and short, good and bad, etc.)

وَجَعَلْنَا نَوْمَكُمْ سُبَاتًا ٩

And have made your sleep as a thing for rest.

وَجَعَلْنَا

And have made

نَوْمَكُمْ

your sleep

سُبَاتًا

as a thing for rest

وَجَعَلْنَا اللَّيْلَ لِبَاسًا ١٠

And have made the night as a covering (through its darkness),

وَجَعَلْنَا

And have made

اللَّيْلَ

the night

لِبَاسًا

as a covering (through its darkness)

وَجَعَلْنَا النَّهَارَ مَعَاشًا ١١

And have made the day for livelihood.

وَجَعَلْنَا

And have made

النَّهَارَ

the day

مَعَاشًا

for livelihood

وَبَنَيْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعًا شِدَادًا ١٢

And We have built above you seven strong (heavens),

وَبَنَيْنَا

And We have built

فَوْقَكُمْ

above you

سَبْعًا شِدَادًا

seven strong (heavens)

وَجَعَلْنَا سِرَاجًا وَهَّاجًا ١٣

And have made (therein) a shinning lamp (sun).

وَجَعَلْنَا

And have made

سِرَاجًا وَهَّاجًا

a shining lamp (sun)

وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ الْمُعْصِرَاتِ مَاءً ثَجَّاجًا ١٤

And have sent down from the rainy clouds abundant water.

وَأَنزَلْنَا

And have sent down

مِنَ الْمُعْصِرَاتِ

from the rainy clouds

مَاءً ثَجَّاجًا

abundant water

لِّنُخْرِجَ بِهِ حَبًّا وَنَبَاتًا ١٥

That We may produce therewith corn and vegetations,

لِّنُخْرِجَ بِهِ

That We may produce therewith

حَبًّا وَنَبَاتًا

corn and vegetations

وَجَنَّاتٍ أَلْفَافًا ١٦

And gardens of thick growth.

وَجَنَّاتٍ

And gardens

أَلْفَافًا

of thick growth
