لَا تُحَرِّكْ بِهِ لِسَانَكَ لِتَعْجَلَ بِهِ ١٦

Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW) to make haste therewith.

لَا تُحَرِّكْ بِهِ لِسَانَكَ
Move not your tongue concerning (the Quran, O Muhammad SAW)
لِتَعْجَلَ بِهِ
to make haste therewith

إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا جَمْعَهُ وَقُرْآنَهُ ١٧

It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran),

إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا
It is for Us
جَمْعَهُ
to collect it
وَقُرْآنَهُ
and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran)

فَإِذَا قَرَأْنَاهُ فَاتَّبِعْ قُرْآنَهُ ١٨

And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital.

فَإِذَا قَرَأْنَاهُ
And when We have recited it
فَاتَّبِعْ قُرْآنَهُ
then follow you its (the Quran's) recital.

ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا بَيَانَهُ ١٩

Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you,

ثُمَّ إِنَّ عَلَيْنَا
Then it is for Us
بَيَانَهُ
to make it clear to you
