Al-Qiyamah — Verses 26–40 | Explore this Quran theme on Muallim
كَلَّا إِذَا بَلَغَتِ التَّرَاقِيَ ٢٦
Nay, when (the soul) reaches to the collar bone (i.e. up to the throat in its exit),
- كَلَّا
- Nay,
- إِذَا بَلَغَتِ التَّرَاقِيَ
- when (the soul) reaches to the collar bone (i.e. up to the throat in its exit)
وَقِيلَ مَنْ ۜ رَاقٍ ٢٧
And it will be said: "Who can cure him and save him from death?"
- وَقِيلَ
- And it will be said:
- مَنْ ۜ رَاقٍ
- Who can cure him and save him from death?
وَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ الْفِرَاقُ ٢٨
And he (the dying person) will conclude that it was (the time) of departing (death);
- وَظَنَّ
- And he (the dying person) will conclude
- أَنَّهُ الْفِرَاقُ
- that it was (the time) of departing (death)
وَالْتَفَّتِ السَّاقُ بِالسَّاقِ ٢٩
And leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded)
- وَالْتَفَّتِ السَّاقُ
- And leg will be joined
- بِالسَّاقِ
- with another leg (shrouded)
إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ الْمَسَاقُ ٣٠
The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)!
- إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ
- to your Lord (Allah)
- يَوْمَئِذٍ
- on that Day
- الْمَسَاقُ
- the drive will be
فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلَّىٰ ٣١
So he (the disbeliever) neither believed (in this Quran, in the Message of Muhammad SAW) nor prayed!
- فَلَا صَدَّقَ
- So he (the disbeliever) neither believed
- وَلَا صَلَّىٰ
- nor prayed!
وَلَٰكِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰ ٣٢
But on the contrary, he belied (this Quran and the Message of Muhammad SAW) and turned away!
- وَلَٰكِن
- But on the contrary,
- كَذَّبَ
- he belied (this Quran and the Message of Muhammad SAW)
- وَتَوَلَّىٰ
- and turned away!
ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِ يَتَمَطَّىٰ ٣٣
Then he walked in full pride to his family admiring himself!
- ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلَىٰ أَهْلِهِ
- Then he walked to his family
- يَتَمَطَّىٰ
- in full pride admiring himself
أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰ ٣٤
Woe to you [O man (disbeliever)]! And then (again) woe to you!
- أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ
- Woe to you
- فَأَوْلَىٰ
- And then (again) woe to you
ثُمَّ أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰ ٣٥
Again, woe to you [O man (disbeliever)]! And then (again) woe to you!
- ثُمَّ أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ
- Again, woe to you
- فَأَوْلَىٰ
- And then (again) woe to you
أَيَحْسَبُ الْإِنسَانُ أَن يُتْرَكَ سُدًى ٣٦
Does man think that he will be left Suda [neglected without being punished or rewarded for the obligatory duties enjoined by his Lord (Allah) on him]?
- أَيَحْسَبُ الْإِنسَانُ
- Does man think that
- أَن يُتْرَكَ
- he will be left
- سُدًى
- neglected without being punished or rewarded
- for the obligatory duties
- enjoined by his Lord (Allah) on him
أَلَمْ يَكُ نُطْفَةً مِّن مَّنِيٍّ يُمْنَىٰ ٣٧
Was he not a Nutfah (mixed male and female discharge of semen) poured forth?
- أَلَمْ يَكُ
- Was he not
- نُطْفَةً مِّن مَّنِيٍّ
- a Nutfah (mixed male and female discharge of semen)
- يُمْنَىٰ
- poured forth?
ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ ٣٨
Then he became an 'Alaqa (a clot); then (Allah) shaped and fashioned (him) in due proportion.
- ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةً
- Then he became an 'Alaqa (a clot);
- فَخَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ
- then (Allah) shaped and fashioned (him) in due proportion.
فَجَعَلَ مِنْهُ الزَّوْجَيْنِ الذَّكَرَ وَالْأُنثَىٰ ٣٩
And made him in two sexes, male and female.
- فَجَعَلَ مِنْهُ
- And made from it
- الزَّوْجَيْنِ
- the two sexes
- الذَّكَرَ وَالْأُنثَىٰ
- the male and female
أَلَيْسَ ذَٰلِكَ بِقَادِرٍ عَلَىٰ أَن يُحْيِيَ الْمَوْتَىٰ ٤٠
Is not He (Allah Who does that), Able to give life to the dead? (Yes! He is Able to do all things).
- أَلَيْسَ ذَٰلِكَ
- Is not He (Allah Who does that)
- بِقَادِرٍ عَلَىٰ
- Able to
- أَن يُحْيِيَ الْمَوْتَىٰ
- give life to the dead?
