كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ ١٨

'Ad (people) belied (their Prophet, Hud), then how (terrible) was My Torment and My Warnings?

كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ

عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ

My Torment and My Warnings?

إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًا صَرْصَرًا فِي يَوْمِ نَحْسٍ مُّسْتَمِرٍّ ١٩

Verily, We sent against them a furious wind of harsh voice on a day of evil omen and continuous calamity.

إِنَّا أَرْسَلْنَا

Verily, We sent

عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًا صَرْصَرًا

against them a furious wind of harsh voice

فِي يَوْمِ نَحْسٍ مُّسْتَمِرٍّ

on a day of evil omen and continuous calamity

تَنزِعُ النَّاسَ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ مُّنقَعِرٍ ٢٠

Plucking out men as if they were uprooted stems of date-palms.

كَأَنَّهُمْ

as if they were

أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ

uprooted stems of date-palms

مُّنقَعِرٍ

فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِي وَنُذُرِ ٢١

Then, how (terrible) was My Torment and My Warnings?

فَكَيْفَ كَانَ

Then, how (terrible) was

عَذَابِي

My Torment

وَنُذُرِ

and My Warnings?

وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا الْقُرْآنَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ ٢٢

And We have indeed made the Quran easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)?

وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا

And We have indeed made

الْقُرْآنَ

the Quran

لِلذِّكْرِ

easy to understand and remember

فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍ

then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)?
