ن ۚ وَالْقَلَمِ وَمَا يَسْطُرُونَ ١

Nun. [These letters (Nun, etc.) are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings]. By the pen and what the (angels) write (in the Records of men).

ن ۚ وَالْقَلَمِ

Nun.

وَمَا

By the pen

يَسْطُرُونَ

and what the (angels) write (in the Records of men).

These letters (Nun, etc.) are one of the miracles of the Quran,

and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.

مَا أَنتَ بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ بِمَجْنُونٍ ٢

You (O Muhammad SAW) are not, by the Grace of your Lord, a madman.

مَا أَنتَ

You (O Muhammad SAW) are not

بِنِعْمَةِ رَبِّكَ

by the Grace of your Lord

بِمَجْنُونٍ

a madman

وَإِنَّ لَكَ لَأَجْرًا غَيْرَ مَمْنُونٍ ٣

And verily, for you (O Muhammad SAW) will be an endless reward.

وَإِنَّ لَكَ

And verily, for you

لَأَجْرًا غَيْرَ مَمْنُونٍ

will be an endless reward

وَإِنَّكَ لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍ ٤

And verily, you (O Muhammad SAW) are on an exalted standard of character.

وَإِنَّكَ

And verily, you (O Muhammad SAW)

لَعَلَىٰ خُلُقٍ عَظِيمٍ

are on an exalted standard of character.

فَسَتُبْصِرُ وَيُبْصِرُونَ ٥

You will see, and they will see,

فَسَتُبْصِرُ

You will see

وَيُبْصِرُونَ

and they will see

بِأَييِّكُمُ الْمَفْتُونُ ٦

Which of you is afflicted with madness.

بِأَييِّكُمُ

Which of you

الْمَفْتُونُ

is afflicted with madness

إِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن ضَلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِالْمُهْتَدِينَ ٧

Verily, your Lord knows better, who (among men) has gone astray from His Path, and He knows better those who are guided.

إِنَّ رَبَّكَ

Verily, your Lord

هُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِمَن ضَلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِ

knows better, who (among men) has gone astray from His Path,

وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِالْمُهْتَدِينَ

and He knows better those who are guided.
