انطَلِقُوا إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ ٢٩

(It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny!

انطَلِقُوا

Depart you

إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِ تُكَذِّبُونَ

to that which you used to deny

انطَلِقُوا إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ ذِي ثَلَاثِ شُعَبٍ ٣٠

"Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns,

انطَلِقُوا

Depart you

إِلَىٰ ظِلٍّ

to a shadow

ذِي ثَلَاثِ شُعَبٍ

in three columns

لَّا ظَلِيلٍ وَلَا يُغْنِي مِنَ اللَّهَبِ ٣١

"Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire."

لَّا ظَلِيلٍ

Neither shading

وَلَا يُغْنِي

nor of any use

مِنَ اللَّهَبِ

against the fierce flame of the Fire

إِنَّهَا تَرْمِي بِشَرَرٍ كَالْقَصْرِ ٣٢

Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)],

إِنَّهَا تَرْمِي

Verily! It (Hell) throws

بِشَرَرٍ كَالْقَصْرِ

sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)]

كَأَنَّهُ جِمَالَتٌ صُفْرٌ ٣٣

As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)."

كَأَنَّهُ

As if it were

جِمَالَتٌ صُفْرٌ

yellow camels

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ٣٤

Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)!

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ

Woe that Day

لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)

هَٰذَا يَوْمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ ٣٥

That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it),

هَٰذَا يَوْمُ

That will be a Day

لَا يَنطِقُونَ

when they shall not speak

وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ ٣٦

And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse.

وَلَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ

And they will not be permitted

فَيَعْتَذِرُونَ

to put forth any excuse

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ٣٧

Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)!

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ

Woe that Day

لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)

هَٰذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ ۖ جَمَعْنَاكُمْ وَالْأَوَّلِينَ ٣٨

That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together!

هَٰذَا يَوْمُ الْفَصْلِ ۖ

That will be a Day of Decision!

جَمَعْنَاكُمْ وَالْأَوَّلِينَ

We have brought you and the men of old together!

فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ كَيْدٌ فَكِيدُونِ ٣٩

So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)!

فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمْ

So if you have

كَيْدٌ

a plot

فَكِيدُونِ

use it against Me (Allah)!

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ٤٠

Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)!

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ

Woe that Day

لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)

إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ فِي ظِلَالٍ وَعُيُونٍ ٤١

Verily, the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) shall be amidst shades and springs.

إِنَّ الْمُتَّقِينَ

Verily, the Muttaqun (pious)

فِي ظِلَالٍ وَعُيُونٍ

shall be amidst shades and springs.

وَفَوَاكِهَ مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ ٤٢

And fruits, such as they desire.

وَفَوَاكِهَ

And fruits

مِمَّا يَشْتَهُونَ

such as they desire

كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا هَنِيئًا بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ٤٣

"Eat and drink comfortably for that which you used to do.

كُلُوا وَاشْرَبُوا

Eat and drink

هَنِيئًا

comfortably

بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ

for that which you used to do

إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُحْسِنِينَ ٤٤

Verily, thus We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers).

إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ

Verily, thus

نَجْزِي

We reward

الْمُحْسِنِينَ

the Muhsinun (good-doers)

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ٤٥

Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)!

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ

Woe that Day

لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)

كُلُوا وَتَمَتَّعُوا قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ ٤٦

(O you disbelievers)! Eat and enjoy yourselves (in this worldly life) for a little while. Verily, you are the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.).

كُلُوا وَتَمَتَّعُوا قَلِيلًا

Eat and enjoy yourselves for a little while

إِنَّكُم مُّجْرِمُونَ

Verily, you are the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ٤٧

Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)!

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ

Woe that Day

لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ارْكَعُوا لَا يَرْكَعُونَ ٤٨

And when it is said to them: "Bow down yourself (in prayer)!" They bow not down (offer not their prayers).

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ

And when it is said to them

ارْكَعُوا

Bow down yourself (in prayer)

لَا يَرْكَعُونَ

They bow not down (offer not their prayers)

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ ٤٩

Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)!

وَيْلٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ

Woe that Day

لِّلْمُكَذِّبِينَ

to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)

فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثٍ بَعْدَهُ يُؤْمِنُونَ ٥٠

Then in what statement after this (the Quran) will they believe?

فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثٍ

Then in what statement

بَعْدَهُ

after this

يُؤْمِنُونَ

will they believe?
