وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ مِن سُلَالَةٍ مِّن طِينٍ ١٢

And indeed We created man (Adam) out of an extract of clay (water and earth).

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا

And indeed We created

الْإِنسَانَ

man (Adam)

مِن سُلَالَةٍ

out of an extract

مِّن طِينٍ

of clay (water and earth)

ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَاهُ نُطْفَةً فِي قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ ١٣

Thereafter We made him (the offspring of Adam) as a Nutfah (mixed drops of the male and female sexual discharge) (and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman).

ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَاهُ

Thereafter We made him

نُطْفَةً

as a Nutfah

فِي قَرَارٍ مَّكِينٍ

(and lodged it) in a safe lodging (womb of the woman)

ثُمَّ خَلَقْنَا النُّطْفَةَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقْنَا الْعَلَقَةَ مُضْغَةً فَخَلَقْنَا الْمُضْغَةَ عِظَامًا فَكَسَوْنَا الْعِظَامَ لَحْمًا ثُمَّ أَنشَأْنَاهُ خَلْقًا آخَرَ ۚ فَتَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ أَحْسَنُ الْخَالِقِينَ ١٤

Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators.

ثُمَّ خَلَقْنَا النُّطْفَةَ

Then We made the Nutfah

عَلَقَةً

into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood),

فَخَلَقْنَا الْعَلَقَةَ

then We made the clot

مُضْغَةً

into a little lump of flesh,

فَخَلَقْنَا الْمُضْغَةَ

then We made out of that little lump of flesh

عِظَامًا

bones,

فَكَسَوْنَا الْعِظَامَ

then We clothed the bones

لَحْمًا

with flesh,

ثُمَّ أَنشَأْنَاهُ

and then We brought it forth

خَلْقًا آخَرَ ۚ

as another creation.

فَتَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ

So blessed be Allah,

أَحْسَنُ الْخَالِقِينَ

the Best of creators.

ثُمَّ إِنَّكُم بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ لَمَيِّتُونَ ١٥

After that, surely, you will die.

ثُمَّ إِنَّكُم

After that, surely, you

بَعْدَ ذَٰلِكَ

after that

لَمَيِّتُونَ

you will die

ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ تُبْعَثُونَ ١٦

Then (again), surely, you will be resurrected on the Day of Resurrection.

ثُمَّ إِنَّكُمْ

Then (again), surely, you

يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

on the Day of Resurrection

تُبْعَثُونَ

will be resurrected

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعَ طَرَائِقَ وَمَا كُنَّا عَنِ الْخَلْقِ غَافِلِينَ ١٧

And indeed We have created above you seven heavens (one over the other), and We are never unaware of the creation.

وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا

And indeed We have created

فَوْقَكُمْ

above you

سَبْعَ طَرَائِقَ

seven heavens (one over the other)

وَمَا كُنَّا عَنِ الْخَلْقِ غَافِلِينَ

and We are never unaware of the creation

وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً بِقَدَرٍ فَأَسْكَنَّاهُ فِي الْأَرْضِ ۖ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰ ذَهَابٍ بِهِ لَقَادِرُونَ ١٨

And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away.

وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً بِقَدَرٍ

And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure

فَأَسْكَنَّاهُ فِي الْأَرْضِ ۖ

and We gave it lodging in the earth

وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰ ذَهَابٍ بِهِ لَقَادِرُونَ

and verily, We are Able to take it away

فَأَنشَأْنَا لَكُم بِهِ جَنَّاتٍ مِّن نَّخِيلٍ وَأَعْنَابٍ لَّكُمْ فِيهَا فَوَاكِهُ كَثِيرَةٌ وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ ١٩

Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you, and whereof you eat.

فَأَنشَأْنَا لَكُم بِهِ

Then We brought forth for you therewith

جَنَّاتٍ مِّن نَّخِيلٍ وَأَعْنَابٍ

gardens of date-palms and grapes

لَّكُمْ فِيهَا

wherein is much fruit for you

فَوَاكِهُ كَثِيرَةٌ

and whereof you eat

وَشَجَرَةً تَخْرُجُ مِن طُورِ سَيْنَاءَ تَنبُتُ بِالدُّهْنِ وَصِبْغٍ لِّلْآكِلِينَ ٢٠

And a tree (olive) that springs forth from Mount Sinai, that grows oil, and (it is a) relish for the eaters.

وَشَجَرَةً

And a tree

تَخْرُجُ مِن طُورِ سَيْنَاءَ

that springs forth from Mount Sinai

تَنبُتُ بِالدُّهْنِ

that grows oil

وَصِبْغٍ لِّلْآكِلِينَ

and (it is a) relish for the eaters

وَإِنَّ لَكُمْ فِي الْأَنْعَامِ لَعِبْرَةً ۖ نُّسْقِيكُم مِّمَّا فِي بُطُونِهَا وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَنَافِعُ كَثِيرَةٌ وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ ٢١

And Verily! In the cattle there is indeed a lesson for you. We give you to drink (milk) of that which is in their bellies. And there are, in them, numerous (other) benefits for you, and of them you eat.

وَإِنَّ لَكُمْ فِي الْأَنْعَامِ لَعِبْرَةً ۖ

And Verily! In the cattle there is indeed a lesson for you.

نُّسْقِيكُم مِّمَّا فِي بُطُونِهَا

We give you to drink (milk) of that which is in their bellies.

وَلَكُمْ فِيهَا مَنَافِعُ كَثِيرَةٌ

And there are, in them, numerous (other) benefits for you,

وَمِنْهَا تَأْكُلُونَ

and of them you eat.

وَعَلَيْهَا وَعَلَى الْفُلْكِ تُحْمَلُونَ ٢٢

And on them, and on ships you are carried.

وَعَلَيْهَا

And on them

وَعَلَى الْفُلْكِ

and on ships

تُحْمَلُونَ

you are carried
