أَأَمِنتُم مَّن فِي السَّمَاءِ أَن يَخْسِفَ بِكُمُ الْأَرْضَ فَإِذَا هِيَ تَمُورُ ١٦
Do you feel secure that He, Who is over the heaven (Allah), will not cause the earth to sink with you, then behold it shakes (as in an earthquake)?
- أَأَمِنتُم
- Do you feel secure
- مَّن فِي السَّمَاءِ
- that He, Who is over the heaven (Allah)
- أَن يَخْسِفَ بِكُمُ الْأَرْضَ
- will not cause the earth to sink with you
- فَإِذَا هِيَ تَمُورُ
- then behold it shakes (as in an earthquake)
أَمْ أَمِنتُم مَّن فِي السَّمَاءِ أَن يُرْسِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ حَاصِبًا ۖ فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ كَيْفَ نَذِيرِ ١٧
Or do you feel secure that He, Who is over the heaven (Allah), will not send against you a violent whirlwind? Then you shall know how (terrible) has been My Warning?
- أَمْ أَمِنتُم
- Or do you feel secure
- مَّن فِي السَّمَاءِ
- that He, Who is over the heaven
- أَن يُرْسِلَ عَلَيْكُمْ حَاصِبًا ۖ
- will not send against you a violent whirlwind?
- فَسَتَعْلَمُونَ
- Then you shall know
- كَيْفَ نَذِيرِ
- how (terrible) has been My Warning?
وَلَقَدْ كَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ ١٨
And indeed those before them belied (the Messengers of Allah), then how terrible was My denial (punishment)?
- وَلَقَدْ كَذَّبَ الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ
- And indeed those before them belied (the Messengers of Allah)
- فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ
- then how terrible was My denial (punishment)?
أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا إِلَى الطَّيْرِ فَوْقَهُمْ صَافَّاتٍ وَيَقْبِضْنَ ۚ مَا يُمْسِكُهُنَّ إِلَّا الرَّحْمَٰنُ ۚ إِنَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ بَصِيرٌ ١٩
Do they not see the birds above them, spreading out their wings and folding them in? None upholds them except the Most Beneficent (Allah). Verily, He is the All-Seer of everything.
- أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا إِلَى الطَّيْرِ فَوْقَهُمْ
- Do they not see the birds above them,
- صَافَّاتٍ وَيَقْبِضْنَ ۚ
- spreading out their wings and folding them in?
- مَا يُمْسِكُهُنَّ إِلَّا الرَّحْمَٰنُ ۚ
- None upholds them except the Most Beneficent (Allah).
- إِنَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ بَصِيرٌ
- Verily, He is the All-Seer of everything.
أَمَّنْ هَٰذَا الَّذِي هُوَ جُندٌ لَّكُمْ يَنصُرُكُم مِّن دُونِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ ۚ إِنِ الْكَافِرُونَ إِلَّا فِي غُرُورٍ ٢٠
Who is he besides the Most Beneficent that can be an army to you to help you? The disbelievers are in nothing but delusion.
- أَمَّنْ هَٰذَا الَّذِي هُوَ جُندٌ لَّكُمْ
- Who is he besides the Most Beneficent that can be an army to you
- يَنصُرُكُم مِّن دُونِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ ۚ
- to help you? The disbelievers
- إِنِ الْكَافِرُونَ إِلَّا فِي غُرُورٍ
- are in nothing but delusion.
أَمَّنْ هَٰذَا الَّذِي يَرْزُقُكُمْ إِنْ أَمْسَكَ رِزْقَهُ ۚ بَل لَّجُّوا فِي عُتُوٍّ وَنُفُورٍ ٢١
Who is he that can provide for you if He should withhold His provision? Nay, but they continue to be in pride, and (they) flee (from the truth).
- أَمَّنْ هَٰذَا الَّذِي يَرْزُقُكُمْ
- Who is he that can provide for you
- إِنْ أَمْسَكَ رِزْقَهُ ۚ
- if He should withhold His provision?
- بَل لَّجُّوا فِي عُتُوٍّ وَنُفُورٍ
- Nay, but they continue to be in pride, and (they) flee (from the truth).
أَفَمَن يَمْشِي مُكِبًّا عَلَىٰ وَجْهِهِ أَهْدَىٰ أَمَّن يَمْشِي سَوِيًّا عَلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ ٢٢
Is he who walks without seeing on his face, more rightly guided, or he who (sees and) walks on a Straight Way (i.e. Islamic Monotheism).
- أَفَمَن يَمْشِي مُكِبًّا عَلَىٰ وَجْهِهِ
- Is he who walks without seeing on his face
- أَهْدَىٰ
- more rightly guided
- أَمَّن يَمْشِي سَوِيًّا عَلَىٰ صِرَاطٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ
- or he who (sees and) walks on a Straight Way (i.e. Islamic Monotheism)
