وَلِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِرَبِّهِمْ عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ ٦

And for those who disbelieve in their Lord (Allah) is the torment of Hell, and worst indeed is that destination.

وَلِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا بِرَبِّهِمْ

And for those who disbelieve in their Lord (Allah)

عَذَابُ جَهَنَّمَ ۖ

is the torment of Hell

وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ

and worst indeed is that destination

إِذَا أُلْقُوا فِيهَا سَمِعُوا لَهَا شَهِيقًا وَهِيَ تَفُورُ ٧

When they are cast therein, they will hear the (terrible) drawing in of its breath as it blazes forth.

إِذَا أُلْقُوا فِيهَا

When they are cast therein

سَمِعُوا لَهَا

they will hear the

شَهِيقًا وَهِيَ تَفُورُ

(terrible) drawing in of its breath as it blazes forth.

تَكَادُ تَمَيَّزُ مِنَ الْغَيْظِ ۖ كُلَّمَا أُلْقِيَ فِيهَا فَوْجٌ سَأَلَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَا أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَذِيرٌ ٨

It almost bursts up with fury. Every time a group is cast therein, its keeper will ask: "Did no warner come to you?"

تَكَادُ تَمَيَّزُ مِنَ الْغَيْظِ ۖ

It almost bursts up with fury.

كُلَّمَا أُلْقِيَ فِيهَا فَوْجٌ

Every time a group is cast therein,

سَأَلَهُمْ خَزَنَتُهَا

its keeper will ask:

أَلَمْ يَأْتِكُمْ نَذِيرٌ

Did no warner come to you?

قَالُوا بَلَىٰ قَدْ جَاءَنَا نَذِيرٌ فَكَذَّبْنَا وَقُلْنَا مَا نَزَّلَ اللَّهُ مِن شَيْءٍ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَالٍ كَبِيرٍ ٩

They will say: "Yes indeed; a warner did come to us, but we belied him and said: 'Allah never sent down anything (of revelation), you are only in great error.'"

قَالُوا

They will say:

بَلَىٰ

Yes indeed;

قَدْ جَاءَنَا نَذِيرٌ

a warner did come to us,

فَكَذَّبْنَا

but we belied him

وَقُلْنَا

and said:

مَا نَزَّلَ اللَّهُ مِن شَيْءٍ

'Allah never sent down anything (of revelation),

إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا فِي ضَلَالٍ كَبِيرٍ

you are only in great error.'

وَقَالُوا لَوْ كُنَّا نَسْمَعُ أَوْ نَعْقِلُ مَا كُنَّا فِي أَصْحَابِ السَّعِيرِ ١٠

And they will say: "Had we but listened or used our intelligence, we would not have been among the dwellers of the blazing Fire!"

وَقَالُوا

And they will say:

لَوْ كُنَّا نَسْمَعُ أَوْ نَعْقِلُ

Had we but listened or used our intelligence,

مَا كُنَّا فِي أَصْحَابِ السَّعِيرِ

we would not have been among the dwellers of the blazing Fire!

فَاعْتَرَفُوا بِذَنبِهِمْ فَسُحْقًا لِّأَصْحَابِ السَّعِيرِ ١١

Then they will confess their sin. So, away with the dwellers of the blazing Fire.

فَاعْتَرَفُوا بِذَنبِهِمْ

Then they will confess their sin.

فَسُحْقًا لِّأَصْحَابِ السَّعِيرِ

So, away with the dwellers of the blazing Fire.
