وَاذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَمِيثَاقَهُ الَّذِي وَاثَقَكُم بِهِ إِذْ قُلْتُمْ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا ۖ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ ٧

And remember Allah's Favour upon you and His Covenant with which He bound you when you said: "We hear and we obey." And fear Allah. Verily, Allah is All-Knower of the secrets of (your) breasts.

وَاذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ

And remember Allah's Favour upon you

وَمِيثَاقَهُ الَّذِي وَاثَقَكُم بِهِ

and His Covenant with which He bound you

إِذْ قُلْتُمْ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا ۖ

when you said: 'We hear and we obey.'

وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۚ

And fear Allah.

إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَلِيمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ

Verily, Allah is All-Knower of the secrets of (your) breasts.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُونُوا قَوَّامِينَ لِلَّهِ شُهَدَاءَ بِالْقِسْطِ ۖ وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَآنُ قَوْمٍ عَلَىٰ أَلَّا تَعْدِلُوا ۚ اعْدِلُوا هُوَ أَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ ٨

O you who believe! Stand out firmly for Allah and be just witnesses and let not the enmity and hatred of others make you avoid justice. Be just: that is nearer to piety, and fear Allah. Verily, Allah is Well-Acquainted with what you do.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا كُونُوا

O you who believe!

قَوَّامِينَ لِلَّهِ شُهَدَاءَ

Stand out firmly for Allah

بِالْقِسْطِ ۖ وَلَا

and be just witnesses

يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَآنُ قَوْمٍ عَلَىٰ

and let not the enmity and hatred of others

أَلَّا تَعْدِلُوا ۚ اعْدِلُوا

make you avoid justice.

هُوَ

Be just:

أَقْرَبُ لِلتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ وَاتَّقُوا

that is nearer to piety,

اللَّهَ ۚ إِنَّ

and fear Allah.

اللَّهَ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ

Verily, Allah is Well-Acquainted with what you do.

وَعَدَ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ ۙ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَأَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ ٩

Allah has promised those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism) and do deeds of righteousness, that for them there is forgiveness and a great reward (i.e. Paradise).

وَعَدَ اللَّهُ

Allah has promised

الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا

those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism)

وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ ۙ

and do deeds of righteousness

لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ

that for them there is forgiveness

وَأَجْرٌ عَظِيمٌ

and a great reward (i.e. Paradise)

وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَكَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا أُولَٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْجَحِيمِ ١٠

They who disbelieve and deny our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) are those who will be the dwellers of the Hell-fire.

وَالَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا

They who disbelieve

وَكَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا

and deny our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.)

أُولَٰئِكَ أَصْحَابُ الْجَحِيمِ

are those who will be the dwellers of the Hell-fire.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اذْكُرُوا نِعْمَتَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ هَمَّ قَوْمٌ أَن يَبْسُطُوا إِلَيْكُمْ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فَكَفَّ أَيْدِيَهُمْ عَنكُمْ ۖ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ ۚ وَعَلَى اللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ ١١

O you who believe! Remember the Favour of Allah unto you when some people desired (made a plan) to stretch out their hands against you, but (Allah) withheld their hands from you. So fear Allah. And in Allah let believers put their trust.

يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اذْكُرُوا

O you who believe!

نِعْمَتَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ

Remember the Favour of Allah unto you

هَمَّ قَوْمٌ أَن يَبْسُطُوا إِلَيْكُمْ أَيْدِيَهُمْ فَكَفَّ

when some people desired (made a plan) to stretch out their hands against you

أَيْدِيَهُمْ عَنكُمْ ۖ وَاتَّقُوا

but (Allah) withheld their hands from you.

اللَّهَ ۚ وَعَلَى

So fear Allah.

اللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ

And in Allah let believers put their trust.
