وَأَنَّ الْمَسَاجِدَ لِلَّهِ فَلَا تَدْعُوا مَعَ اللَّهِ أَحَدًا ١٨
And the mosques are for Allah (Alone), so invoke not anyone along with Allah.
- وَأَنَّ الْمَسَاجِدَ لِلَّهِ
- And the mosques are for Allah (Alone)
- فَلَا تَدْعُوا مَعَ اللَّهِ أَحَدًا
- so invoke not anyone along with Allah
وَأَنَّهُ لَمَّا قَامَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ يَدْعُوهُ كَادُوا يَكُونُونَ عَلَيْهِ لِبَدًا ١٩
(It has been revealed to me that) When the slave of Allah (Muhammad SAW) stood up invoking (his Lord Allah) in prayer to Him they (the jinns) just made round him a dense crowd as if sticking one over the other (in order to listen to the Prophet's recitation).
- وَأَنَّهُ لَمَّا قَامَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ
- (It has been revealed to me that) When the slave of Allah (Muhammad SAW)
- يَدْعُوهُ كَادُوا يَكُونُونَ عَلَيْهِ لِبَدًا
- stood up invoking (his Lord Allah) in prayer to Him they (the jinns) just made round him a dense crowd as if sticking one over the other (in order to listen to the Prophet's recitation).
قُلْ إِنَّمَا أَدْعُو رَبِّي وَلَا أُشْرِكُ بِهِ أَحَدًا ٢٠
Say (O Muhammad SAW): "I invoke only my Lord (Allah Alone), and I associate none as partners along with Him."
- قُلْ
- Say (O Muhammad SAW):
- إِنَّمَا أَدْعُو رَبِّي
- I invoke only my Lord (Allah Alone),
- وَلَا أُشْرِكُ بِهِ أَحَدًا
- and I associate none as partners along with Him.
قُلْ إِنِّي لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ ضَرًّا وَلَا رَشَدًا ٢١
Say: "It is not in my power to cause you harm, or to bring you to the Right Path."
- قُلْ
- Say:
- إِنِّي لَا أَمْلِكُ لَكُمْ
- It is not in my power to cause you
- ضَرًّا
- harm,
- وَلَا رَشَدًا
- or to bring you to the Right Path.
قُلْ إِنِّي لَن يُجِيرَنِي مِنَ اللَّهِ أَحَدٌ وَلَنْ أَجِدَ مِن دُونِهِ مُلْتَحَدًا ٢٢
Say (O Muhammad SAW): "None can protect me from Allah's punishment (if I were to disobey Him), nor should I find refuge except in Him.
- قُلْ إِنِّي
- Say (O Muhammad SAW):
- لَن يُجِيرَنِي مِنَ اللَّهِ أَحَدٌ
- None can protect me from Allah's punishment (if I were to disobey Him),
- وَلَنْ أَجِدَ مِن دُونِهِ مُلْتَحَدًا
- nor should I find refuge except in Him.
إِلَّا بَلَاغًا مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَرِسَالَاتِهِ ۚ وَمَن يَعْصِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَإِنَّ لَهُ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا ٢٣
"(Mine is) but conveyance (of the truth) from Allah and His Messages (of Islamic Monotheism), and whosoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, then verily, for him is the Fire of Hell, he shall dwell therein forever."
- إِلَّا بَلَاغًا مِّنَ اللَّهِ وَرِسَالَاتِهِ ۚ
- (Mine is) but conveyance (of the truth) from Allah and His Messages (of Islamic Monotheism)
- وَمَن يَعْصِ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ
- and whosoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger
- فَإِنَّ لَهُ نَارَ جَهَنَّمَ
- then verily, for him is the Fire of Hell
- خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا أَبَدًا
- he shall dwell therein forever
حَتَّىٰ إِذَا رَأَوْا مَا يُوعَدُونَ فَسَيَعْلَمُونَ مَنْ أَضْعَفُ نَاصِرًا وَأَقَلُّ عَدَدًا ٢٤
Till, when they see that which they are promised, then they will know who it is that is weaker concerning helpers and less important concerning numbers.
- حَتَّىٰ إِذَا رَأَوْا
- Till, when they see
- مَا يُوعَدُونَ
- that which they are promised
- فَسَيَعْلَمُونَ
- then they will know
- مَنْ أَضْعَفُ نَاصِرًا
- who it is that is weaker concerning helpers
- وَأَقَلُّ عَدَدًا
- and less important concerning numbers
قُلْ إِنْ أَدْرِي أَقَرِيبٌ مَّا تُوعَدُونَ أَمْ يَجْعَلُ لَهُ رَبِّي أَمَدًا ٢٥
Say (O Muhammad SAW): "I know not whether (the punishment) which you are promised is near or whether my Lord will appoint for it a distant term.
- قُلْ إِنْ أَدْرِي
- Say (O Muhammad SAW): 'I know not
- أَقَرِيبٌ مَّا تُوعَدُونَ
- whether (the punishment) which you are promised is near
- أَمْ يَجْعَلُ لَهُ رَبِّي أَمَدًا
- or whether my Lord will appoint for it a distant term.
