كَلَّا إِذَا دُكَّتِ الْأَرْضُ دَكًّا دَكًّا ٢١

Nay! When the earth is ground to powder,

كَلَّا

Nay!

إِذَا دُكَّتِ الْأَرْضُ

When the earth is ground

دَكًّا دَكًّا

to powder,

وَجَاءَ رَبُّكَ وَالْمَلَكُ صَفًّا صَفًّا ٢٢

And your Lord comes with the angels in rows,

وَجَاءَ رَبُّكَ

And your Lord comes

وَالْمَلَكُ

with the angels

صَفًّا صَفًّا

in rows

وَجِيءَ يَوْمَئِذٍ بِجَهَنَّمَ ۚ يَوْمَئِذٍ يَتَذَكَّرُ الْإِنسَانُ وَأَنَّىٰ لَهُ الذِّكْرَىٰ ٢٣

And Hell will be brought near that Day. On that Day will man remember, but how will that remembrance (then) avail him?

وَجِيءَ يَوْمَئِذٍ بِجَهَنَّمَ ۚ

And Hell will be brought near that Day.

يَوْمَئِذٍ يَتَذَكَّرُ الْإِنسَانُ

On that Day will man remember,

وَأَنَّىٰ لَهُ الذِّكْرَىٰ

but how will that remembrance (then) avail him?

يَقُولُ يَا لَيْتَنِي قَدَّمْتُ لِحَيَاتِي ٢٤

He will say: "Alas! Would that I had sent forth (good deeds) for (this) my life!"

يَقُولُ

He will say:

يَا لَيْتَنِي قَدَّمْتُ

"Alas! Would that I

لِحَيَاتِي

had sent forth (good deeds) for (this) my life!"

فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُعَذِّبُ عَذَابَهُ أَحَدٌ ٢٥

So on that Day, none will punish as He will punish.

فَيَوْمَئِذٍ

So on that Day

لَّا يُعَذِّبُ

none will punish

عَذَابَهُ

as He will punish

أَحَدٌ

وَلَا يُوثِقُ وَثَاقَهُ أَحَدٌ ٢٦

And none will bind as He will bind.

وَلَا يُوثِقُ

And none will bind

وَثَاقَهُ

as He will bind.
