وَإِن كُنتُمْ فِي رَيْبٍ مِّمَّا نَزَّلْنَا عَلَىٰ عَبْدِنَا فَأْتُوا بِسُورَةٍ مِّن مِّثْلِهِ وَادْعُوا شُهَدَاءَكُم مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ ٢٣

And if you (Arab pagans, Jews, and Christians) are in doubt concerning that which We have sent down (i.e. the Quran) to Our slave (Muhammad Peace be upon him), then produce a Surah (chapter) of the like thereof and call your witnesses (supporters and helpers) besides Allah, if you are truthful.

وَإِن كُنتُمْ فِي رَيْبٍ

And if you are in doubt

مِّمَّا نَزَّلْنَا عَلَىٰ عَبْدِنَا

concerning that which We have sent down to Our slave

فَأْتُوا بِسُورَةٍ مِّن مِّثْلِهِ

then produce a Surah of the like thereof

وَادْعُوا شُهَدَاءَكُم مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ

and call your witnesses besides Allah

إِن كُنتُمْ صَادِقِينَ

if you are truthful

فَإِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلُوا وَلَن تَفْعَلُوا فَاتَّقُوا النَّارَ الَّتِي وَقُودُهَا النَّاسُ وَالْحِجَارَةُ ۖ أُعِدَّتْ لِلْكَافِرِينَ ٢٤

But if you do it not, and you can never do it, then fear the Fire (Hell) whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.

فَإِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلُوا

But if you do it not,

وَلَن تَفْعَلُوا

and you can never do it,

فَاتَّقُوا النَّارَ

then fear the Fire (Hell)

الَّتِي وَقُودُهَا النَّاسُ وَالْحِجَارَةُ ۖ

whose fuel is men and stones,

أُعِدَّتْ لِلْكَافِرِينَ

prepared for the disbelievers.
