يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اعْبُدُوا رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ وَالَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَتَّقُونَ ٢١

O mankind! Worship your Lord (Allah), Who created you and those who were before you so that you may become Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V. 2:2).

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اعْبُدُوا

O mankind!

رَبَّكُمُ الَّذِي

Worship your Lord (Allah),

خَلَقَكُمْ وَالَّذِينَ

Who created you

مِن قَبْلِكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ

and those who were before you

تَتَّقُونَ

so that you may become Al-Muttaqun (the pious)

الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ فِرَاشًا وَالسَّمَاءَ بِنَاءً وَأَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً فَأَخْرَجَ بِهِ مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ رِزْقًا لَّكُمْ ۖ فَلَا تَجْعَلُوا لِلَّهِ أَندَادًا وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ ٢٢

Who has made the earth a resting place for you, and the sky as a canopy, and sent down water (rain) from the sky and brought forth therewith fruits as a provision for you. Then do not set up rivals unto Allah (in worship) while you know (that He Alone has the right to be worshipped).

الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ فِرَاشًا

Who has made the earth a resting place for you,

وَالسَّمَاءَ بِنَاءً

and the sky as a canopy,

وَأَنزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ مَاءً

and sent down water (rain) from the sky

فَأَخْرَجَ بِهِ مِنَ الثَّمَرَاتِ رِزْقًا لَّكُمْ ۖ

and brought forth therewith fruits as a provision for you.

فَلَا تَجْعَلُوا لِلَّهِ أَندَادًا

Then do not set up rivals unto Allah (in worship)

وَأَنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

while you know (that He Alone has the right to be worshipped).
