لَا أُقْسِمُ بِهَٰذَا الْبَلَدِ ١

I swear by this city (Makkah);

لَا أُقْسِمُ
I swear
بِهَٰذَا الْبَلَدِ
by this city (Makkah)

وَأَنتَ حِلٌّ بِهَٰذَا الْبَلَدِ ٢

And you are free (from sin, to punish the enemies of Islam on the Day of the conquest) in this city (Makkah).

وَأَنتَ حِلٌّ
And you are free (from sin)
بِهَٰذَا الْبَلَدِ
in this city (Makkah)
to punish the enemies of Islam
on the Day of the conquest

وَوَالِدٍ وَمَا وَلَدَ ٣

And by the begetter (i.e. Adam) and that which he begot (i.e. his progeny);

وَوَالِدٍ
And by the begetter
وَمَا وَلَدَ
and that which he begot (i.e. his progeny)

لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنسَانَ فِي كَبَدٍ ٤

Verily, We have created man in toil.

لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا
Verily, We have created
الْإِنسَانَ
man
فِي كَبَدٍ
in toil
