إِنَّ يَوْمَ الْفَصْلِ مِيقَاتُهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ ٤٠

Verily, the Day of Judgement (when Allah will judge between the creatures) is the time appointed for all of them,

إِنَّ يَوْمَ الْفَصْلِ

Verily, the Day of Judgement

مِيقَاتُهُمْ أَجْمَعِينَ

is the time appointed for all of them

يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِي مَوْلًى عَن مَّوْلًى شَيْئًا وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ ٤١

The Day when Maulan (a near relative) cannot avail Maulan (a near relative) in aught, and no help can they receive,

يَوْمَ لَا يُغْنِي

The Day when cannot avail

مَوْلًى عَن مَّوْلًى شَيْئًا

a Maulan (a near relative) another Maulan (a near relative) in aught

وَلَا هُمْ يُنصَرُونَ

and no help can they receive

إِلَّا مَن رَّحِمَ اللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ ٤٢

Except him on whom Allah has Mercy. Verily, He is the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful.

إِلَّا مَن رَّحِمَ اللَّهُ ۚ

Except him on whom Allah has Mercy.

إِنَّهُ هُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الرَّحِيمُ

Verily, He is the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful.

إِنَّ شَجَرَتَ الزَّقُّومِ ٤٣

Verily, the tree of Zaqqum,

إِنَّ شَجَرَتَ الزَّقُّومِ

Verily, the tree of Zaqqum

طَعَامُ الْأَثِيمِ ٤٤

Will be the food of the sinners,

طَعَامُ

Will be the food

الْأَثِيمِ

of the sinners

كَالْمُهْلِ يَغْلِي فِي الْبُطُونِ ٤٥

Like boiling oil, it will boil in the bellies,

كَالْمُهْلِ

Like boiling oil,

يَغْلِي فِي الْبُطُونِ

it will boil in the bellies,

كَغَلْيِ الْحَمِيمِ ٤٦

Like the boiling of scalding water.

كَغَلْيِ

Like the boiling of

الْحَمِيمِ

scalding water

خُذُوهُ فَاعْتِلُوهُ إِلَىٰ سَوَاءِ الْجَحِيمِ ٤٧

(It will be said) "Seize him and drag him into the midst of blazing Fire,

خُذُوهُ

Seize him

فَاعْتِلُوهُ

and drag him

إِلَىٰ سَوَاءِ الْجَحِيمِ

into the midst of blazing Fire

ثُمَّ صُبُّوا فَوْقَ رَأْسِهِ مِنْ عَذَابِ الْحَمِيمِ ٤٨

"Then pour over his head the torment of boiling water,

ثُمَّ صُبُّوا

Then pour

فَوْقَ رَأْسِهِ

over his head

مِنْ عَذَابِ الْحَمِيمِ

the torment of boiling water

ذُقْ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْكَرِيمُ ٤٩

"Taste you (this)! Verily, you were (pretending to be) the mighty, the generous!

ذُقْ

Taste you (this)!

إِنَّكَ أَنتَ

Verily, you were (pretending to be)

الْعَزِيزُ الْكَرِيمُ

the mighty, the generous!

إِنَّ هَٰذَا مَا كُنتُم بِهِ تَمْتَرُونَ ٥٠

"Verily! This is that whereof you used to doubt!"

إِنَّ هَٰذَا

Verily! This is

مَا كُنتُم بِهِ

that whereof you

تَمْتَرُونَ

used to doubt!
