فَإِذَا جَاءَتِ الصَّاخَّةُ ٣٣

Then, when there comes As-Sakhkhah (the Day of Resurrection's second blowing of Trumpet),

فَإِذَا جَاءَتِ
Then, when there comes
الصَّاخَّةُ
As-Sakhkhah (the Day of Resurrection's second blowing of Trumpet)

يَوْمَ يَفِرُّ الْمَرْءُ مِنْ أَخِيهِ ٣٤

That Day shall a man flee from his brother,

يَوْمَ
That Day
يَفِرُّ الْمَرْءُ
shall a man flee
مِنْ أَخِيهِ
from his brother

وَأُمِّهِ وَأَبِيهِ ٣٥

And from his mother and his father,

وَأُمِّهِ
And from his mother
وَأَبِيهِ
and his father

وَصَاحِبَتِهِ وَبَنِيهِ ٣٦

And from his wife and his children.

وَصَاحِبَتِهِ
And from his wife
وَبَنِيهِ
and his children

لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مِّنْهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ شَأْنٌ يُغْنِيهِ ٣٧

Everyman, that Day, will have enough to make him careless of others.

لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مِّنْهُمْ
Every man, of them
يَوْمَئِذٍ
that Day
شَأْنٌ يُغْنِيهِ
will have enough to make him careless of others

وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُّسْفِرَةٌ ٣٨

Some faces that Day, will be bright (true believers of Islamic Monotheism).

وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ

مُّسْفِرَةٌ
will be bright (true believers of Islamic Monotheism)

ضَاحِكَةٌ مُّسْتَبْشِرَةٌ ٣٩

Laughing, rejoicing at good news (of Paradise).

مُّسْتَبْشِرَةٌ
rejoicing at good news (of Paradise)

وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ عَلَيْهَا غَبَرَةٌ ٤٠

And other faces, that Day, will be dust-stained;

وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ
And other faces, that Day,
عَلَيْهَا غَبَرَةٌ
will be dust-stained;

تَرْهَقُهَا قَتَرَةٌ ٤١

Darkness will cover them,

تَرْهَقُهَا
will cover them
قَتَرَةٌ
darkness

أُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْكَفَرَةُ الْفَجَرَةُ ٤٢

Such will be the Kafarah (disbelievers in Allah, in His Oneness, and in His Messenger Muhammad (Peace be upon him), etc.), the Fajarah (wicked evil doers).

أُولَٰئِكَ
Such will be
هُمُ الْكَفَرَةُ
